Hey guys! So I'm not totally sure where this story is going but I will try my best to make it a good story. So I'm hoping it goes along these lines:
- Marinette is saved by the young justice outsiders
- Beast Boy is currently still in his distresse...
Marinette was coming over just for today as it was Kagami's birthday. She said she didn't want a big dinner or party and just wanted to see a movie at home with all of us. She was woken up this morning by a phone call from her mother giving her her blessings as well as saying hi to Luka. Nino and I handled breakfast as Luka said he and Mari would set up the living room and start preparing lunch and dessert for the movie.
It was currently 10:28am and Mari walked through her portals transformed as one of her many powers. "Mari, right on time girl." She smiled, detransforming, "Of course. So Luka, have any idea on what to do?" He chuckled, opening his phone to show her a picture. "Nice! Now what movie do you wanna see, Kagami?" Mari asked. She smiled, "The Girl and the Nightmare."
Marinette shuddered, "I-I wasn't aware you liked horrors now..." Kagami chuckled, "Luka's love for it started to grow on me. What, are you scared, little miss hero?" Marinette pouted, "N-No! Of course not." Luka and I giggled as Nino plated the food. "Alright, dude and dudettes, let's eat." During breakfast we talked and caught up, Marinette relating her battles and mission with us.
This was nice. Once we were done, Mari and Luka washed up and continued to prepare lunch while we stalled for them in the living room with Kagami. But as I looked over at them, I realised that something was wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~
Third Person's POV
Marinette remained quiet as Luka tried to make conversation. He frowned, "Nett..what's wrong?" Her eyes glistened with tears. He paused, "Marinette." She sighed, "I'm fine Luka, was just...lost in thought. I've been really uptight these past few days with all the magic and Klarion and all that jazz.." Luka narrowed his eyes slightly.
"I can tell something is wrong Mari. It's better out than in. You can trust me." He reassured. Marinette smiled, "Maybe tomorrow. I don't wanna ruin the mood of today for Kagami because of my problems. Come on, let's get started." The two continued to work together in the kitchen to prepare lunch. The aroma from the food was mouth watering for Nino and intoxicating to the girls.
"Man..have I missed Nettie's cooking..." Kagami mumbled with a smile. "Yeah, I miss her on a whole. But she seems..off..." Alya added. Kagami raised a brow, "How do you mean? I guess I see it." Alya frowned, "Something's bothering her and I think Luka noticed it too. Hopefully..she'll be alright." Nino placed his hand on Alya's shoulder, "She will, babe."
Lunch was finally ready and Kagami's eyes lit up when she saw it. "I haven't had this since I was a little girl! And..since the day I joined the band... Thanks Mari." Kagami said, hugging Marinette tightly, "What are friends for." By the time they were done eating, it was around 2:17pm. Luka said he'll be taking Kagami out for a while so he'll be back coincidentally in time for the movie to begin.
And coincidentally, this would give Alya time to check up on Marinette. "Hey girl, how's everything been?" She asked with a hand on Marinette's back. Marinette softly smiled, stirring a bowl of batter for Kagami's cake. "It's been...hectic. Heroing life isn't the easiest." Alya frowned, "How's..everything been..in relation to..You-Know-Who?" The kwamis who sat on the couch with Nino looked over.
She sighed, "It's been...complicated... But all in all it's what I signed up for since becoming a hero-""Mari, I'm not talking about the heroing stuff, I'm referring to your wellbeing. Luka was smart not to do this in front of Kagami, nonetheless, he- we are all worried. You look worn out, drained. You're beating yourself to the bone. And what's worse, you probably won't ask for help."
Marinette paused her mixing and turned to Alya. "I promised Luka to tell you guys all about it tomorrow. Today is not about me, it's about-" "MARINETTE! Stop Trying To Avoid The Problem!" Marinette's head swiftly turned around to meet Alya's fierce gaze. Nino quickly stood up and walked over to them. "Babe.. Leave her."
Marinette froze and removed her apron, "I-I need some air..." And with that she walked out the door. She slowly made her way down the street and into a back alley. Just then, a cat meowed right next to her. Teekl. Marinette narrowed her eyes and looked above her to see Klarion. He floated down with a wide grin. "What's the matter, Mar-in-nette? Having some friend trouble?"
She groaned, "Go annoy someone else, Klarion. I don't have time for you right now." She turned to walk away when Klarion appeared in front of her. He pinched her cheek and smirked. "My, my so feisty. It would be ashamed..." He paused, nails digging into her cheek. He grinned, "If something were to happen to that Tsurugi girl and that popstar boy.."
Marinette's eyes glared at him, her eyes now growing small and red. "Touch them and I'll kill you, you son of a b*tch." He stepped away and sighed, "You're not ready yet-" "What does that mean? You keep saying that and yet-" Her phone began to ring. She pulled it out and saw that it was Jerry. She grit her teeth and as she looked up, Klarion was right next to her.
He whispered, "Tell Fu I said he could do better." Her fist glowed brightly, Marinette readying a punch when Klarion vanished. She slumped down onto the ground and answered the call. "Jerry..." "Hey Net, you were just assigned a mission. A reconnaissance with the Waynes tomorrow afternoon. Also how's the party going? I heard Kagami and Luka are still walking about. Nettie...? Net? You there?"
Marinette: ...Sorry Jer, but I gotta go."
Jerry: Wait-
Marinette: *ends call* Tikki, we need to get stronger.
Tikki: Marinette...
Marinette: We need to rid this world of that little rat. ~~~~~~~~~~
