the next morning I wake up and notice that Lynn is already gone
I brush it off because shes probably just on a run and I walk downstairs for breakfast
"hey Luna" I say as I sit down at the table next to her
"hey Jules" she answers and we eat in silence while on our phones
a few minutes later the twins come down
"can you guys take us out today?" Lana asks
"sure, why?" I answer her turning around in my chair
"I want to go shopping and Lana wants to try to find an alligator apparently" Lola says
"um... ok?" Luna says "do you wanna leave in about half an hour?"
they agree and both go back upstairs
"I'll take Lola shopping" I say to Luna "because I really don't want to get bitten by an alligator today"
Luna laughs and rolls her eyes "no, we will both do both things because you are not leaving me alone with that"
I laugh too "fine"

"ok Lola choose what you want, and Lana go with her" I tell her while me and Luna walk around the store
the twins run off and me and Luna follow them just chatting with each other
Luna is still talking while i'm just zoned out
where was Lynn this morning?
why didn't i see her before i left?
where is she right now?
what is she doing right now?
is she thinking about me?
i'm quickly removed from my thoughts as Lola jumps on me
"look how pretty this dress is Jules!" she exclaims and holds up a sparkly pink dress
"oh yes it would look perfect on you!" I say quickly making sure nobody noticed I was overthinking, but I notice Luna giving me a weird look from beside me
Lola smiles "can we buy it?"
"of course" I answer leading her to the cash register
after we pay we walk over to the park
"ok I'll hold your dress while you two go and try to find something cool" I say grabbing the bag out of Lola's hand "me and Luna will be sitting on those picnic tables over there"
they both nod and run away while me and Luna sit down
Luna starts talking again and I try to listen but I still cant stop thinking about Lynn
why hasn't she texted me today?
"Jules"
she always texts me...
"Jules..."
why-
"JULES!" I finally hear Luna yell at me this time
"what!" I jump in my seat confused at what's happening
"what is wrong with you today?" she says giving me a weird look
"nothing, why?" I lie to her
"it doesn't seem like nothing" she says skeptical "you've been zoning out all day"
"sorry, I'm just tired" I lie again
"you sure? I don't believe you" Luna pushes
"fine, I've just been thinking a lot about something" I say giving up but still not saying the full truth
"or is it someone?" she says to me as if shes trying to read my mind
"yes..." I say looking down and playing with my rings
"is this someone named Lynn?" she smirks at me
"yes..." I repeat averting her gaze
"I knew it!" she points at me "so, what's going on then?" she questions me
"I don't know, shes just being weird" I answer "but it doesn't matter I'm probably overreacting anyway" I try to brush it off
"no, I know you and you wouldn't be this torn up about some stupid shit" she says to me "so tell me what's going on"
I shrug "whatever, but promise not to tell anyone?"
she nods "of course"
"okay" I start "so yesterday at the party, you know how we were playing seven minutes in heaven, basically me and Lynn kissed and she was being all flirty but now today I haven't seen her or heard from her at all" I let out a sigh
"yeah that's really weird" she says with a confused look on her face "I wonder why shes acting like this? do you want me to talk to her?" she asks
"yes thank you! but make sure she doesn't know I sent you" I tell her
"yeah obviously" she brushes me off
I nod and the twins start walking back
as the twins come we stand up and start to walk over to them
"you ready to leave?" I ask
they say yes and we start heading back to the Air BNB

when we get inside I sit down on the couch and scroll on my phone because Luna said she was going to talk to Lynn now
while I'm sitting her I cant stop thinking about what Lynn has to say
my phone vibrates snapping me out of my thoughts
