Once Jelly got home, "How was your first day of school?" a light brown mermaid asked, her red hair  flowing behind her.

"I found Fruit Loop." Jelly revealed, which caused his dad to choke on his drink in shock.

Jelly's dad swam towards him. "Why didn't you bring him home?"

Jelly swallowed as he stared at the floor. "He's been living with the royal family this entire time."

"Is that it?" Jelly's mom asked as she swam towards them.

Jelly shook his head. "He's best friends with the prince." He continued to stare at the floor not wanting to see the pain in their eyes.

"Melon, where are you going?" Jelly's mom asked in confusion as she watched him swim to the door.

"I'm going to get our son back." Melon replied as Jelly swam up and grabbed his dad by the arm.

"He doesn't want to leave his friend." Jelly cried. "Let him stay up there."

"Melon, he's got a point." Jelly's mom commented as she looked into her husband's blue eyes.

"Fruit is our son, not the king and queen's." Melon yelled as he angerly swam out of the house. "I'm bringing him home."

Once Melon was gone, "Jelly, go to the surface and warn your brother."

Jelly nodded as he swam to the surface.

                                                                    ~Time Skip~

Fruit was strolling down the street when his brother came running towards him at full force.

"Fruit, dad's on the surface. He's coming for you." Jelly warned as he straightened his jacket.

"Why's dad after me?" Fruit asked in confusion and looked into his brother's blue eyes.

"He's gonna force you to come home." Jelly replied as he turned away from his brother's golden eyes.

Fruit shook his head a couple times in disbelief. "He can't. The castle is my home, now."

"Hey, I just came to warn you." Jelly clarified, now looking at Fruit. "Mom's also on your side, she sent me."

"Fruit, what's going on?" Popsicle asked as he approached them while on his trusty horse, Wizard.

"My dad is coming after me and is gonna try to force me to go back to living in the sea." Fruit replied, not wanting to the saddened look on Popsicle's face.

"Do you want to go back?" Popsicle asked as he got off his horse and held  yellow reigns.

Fruit shook his head before looking up into Popsicle's dark blue eyes. "Your home is also mine."

Popsicle smiled. "Then it shall stay that way."

Fruit and Jelly stared at him in confusion. Popsicle noticed and thought of the best way to explain himself.

"I'm gonna tell my parents about what's going on." Popsicle explained with a big smile on his face. "We'll protect you from your dad. I refuse to let your dad force you to do anything."

Fruit hugged Popsicle and smiled. "Thanks, Popsicle."

Popsicle returned the gesture before looking at Jelly. "Get in here." He pulled Jelly into the hug.

Jelly looked at his brother. Fruit glanced at Popsicle before back at Jelly and smiled as he rolled his eyes.

During the hug, an orange man with blonde hair walked towards them with vigor. "Fruit Loop, you're in trouble."

"Why? Cause I wanna stay with the people who took me in, rather than the people I barely remember." Fruit exclaimed as he threw up his arms.

"Yes." Melon replied as he grabbed Fruit's arm.

"Excuse me, but you let go of him." a gray man with curly brown hair said. "You're hurting his arm."

"Pardon me, your highness." Melon said, trying to sound innocent. "But this is my son, not yours."

"That boy has been living with me and family since he was a kid." the king said. "He might as well be, my son."

Fruit stared into the king's dull brown eyes. "You really think of me as your son?"

The king knelt down in front of Fruit and put his hand on Fruit's shoulder. "Of course I do."

Fruit put his free hand on the king's.

"Now, Mr. Loop." the king said as he back up and adjusted his coat. "Leave my boys, alone."

Melon scoffed. "Fine, but you are not allowed near the house." He turned to Jelly. "Come, Jelly. We're going home."

"Bye, bro." Jelly said before following his dad. He then watched Fruit walk back to the castle with Popsicle and the king.
