"There's almost no humans up here." Fruit said after he poked his head out of the water to check. "Except two."
"Ugh, which two?" Cherry asked in annoyance as she crossed her arms.
"Don't worry. They're in the know, just like you are." Fruit assured her.
"That doesn't answer my question." Cherry pointed out.
"There's Shimmer's friends. One of them gave me the contacts that I then gave you." Fruit explained as he swam to the shore, Cherry followed. "Trust me, it's safe."
As soon as Fruit and Cherry were out of the water, "Hello again, Fruit." the tall orange skinny boy said as he waved at them.
"Hey, Cheese." Fruit replied as changed Cherry back into her original form. He then changed into his land form and they both stood up and approached Cheese and a pink girl.
"Hold on, aren't you, Cherry?" the pink girl asked as she hid behind Cheese. "Shimmer has told us about you."
"Yes, I am Cherry." Cherry replied before letting a deep sigh. "Speaking of, where is Shimmer, anyway."
Cheese and the pink girl looked at each other for a moment before turning back towards Fruit and Cherry.
"Sorry, but you're a meanie." the pink girl sassed with her hands on her hips. "And we don't assist, meanies."
"Pinkie, she's not like that. Not anymore." Fruit assured them. "You believe me, right Cheese?"
Cheese stammered. "Sorry, Fruit. Cherry hasn't shown any proof of not being a meanie. All evidence proves otherwise."
"Seriously, guys." Fruit exclaimed as he threw his arms out. "What'll it take to convince you?"
Cheese and Pinkie turned toward each other, had a whispered conversation before turning back to Fruit and Cherry.
"We don't know." Cheese replied with his arm around Pinkie.
Fruit shrugged. He looked at Cherry, who smiled at him. Fruit returned the smile before turning back to Cheese and Pinkie. He swallowed hard before he spoke. "Cherry and I are dating."
Pinkie smiled and nodded, approvingly. "You surely can't be that bad if Fruit loves ya."
Cherry rolled her eyes at Pinkie.
"So, should we tell them where Shimmer is?" Cheese asked, curiously.
"Yes indeedy." Pinkie replied as she smiled at him.
"Alright, then." Cheese said as he smiled back at Pinkie. He then cleared his throat. "Shimmer's in her lab. Not sure where that is, though."
Pinkie nodded. "It's location is super duper secret, as well. Not even we know how to get to it. Very few do."
"Hmm." Fruit mused. He thought back to when he fist met Shimmer. I still wonder why that bookshelf is just in the hallway. "When I first met Shimmer, I saw this bookshelf in the hallway that she and Twinkle share. I never could figure out why it was there."
Pinkie gasped in realization as she shook with excitement. "I know what's for."
Cheese smiled in agreement. "Same here. It's so obvious."
"Could ya tell us, maybe?" Fruit asked, trying to get them to calm down a little.
"Oops, our bad." Pinkie said as she cleared her throat. "Anywhoozle, that bookshelf has to be the door to Shimmer's lab."
Cheese nodded.
"That doesn't make any sense." Cherry commented with a scoff.
"Says the princess of the place where party power come from." Cheese commented with sass as Pinkie giggled at the display.
Fruit chuckled, nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Thanks for the help, guys." He pushed Cherry away from shore. "Come on, Cherry. Let's go."
"Ok but you don't have ta push." Cherry commented as she and Fruit walked away.
