𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈 were with Mandy and his dad as we tried on our costumes. We were in separate dressing rooms and I admired the beautiful navy blue dress, "All right. Come on out, kids." The woman called out to us as we stepped out from behind the curtain, "Oh, my God! You look like angels."

The boy beside me rolled his eyes, "We look like we're getting ready for the Hunger Games tribute parade.

I scoffed in disbelief, "What? They're perfect."

He sighed heavily as he turned to his father, "Dad, help me out?"

The man only shrugged, "Listen to the ladies, son. They always know best."

Mandy approached her stepson, "All right. Let's remove the sparkle from his, tighten up the sleeves, maybe move the neckline up a little bit." She turned to me, "And as for Mae, don't change a thing."

"Oh, my goodness." James suddenly gasped, "I didn't realize it was so late."

"Honey, did you remember to bring the welcome flyers for the conference?" Mandy asked.

"Crap, I forgot them." He sighed. "I'd go get 'em myself but I have a meeting in twenty minutes. Justin, could you run home and grab them real quick?"

"Don't you guys have people for that?" He sassed.

"Yeah, you." The man pointed before leaving the building to take a phone call.

I chuckled, "It's fine. I can come with you."

He looked at me surprised but nodded anyway, "Okay."
