𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 to my best friend at the rink when a girl her age walked over, "Serena." She called out.

The blonde rolled her eyes at the girl's presence, "Bethany."

"Did you hear that Kiara Dicenzo has a triple axel too?" She scoffed.

The Baker girl frowned, "Who's Kiara Dicenzo?"

"You don't know her? Well, you will now. Hers is a little less consistent than mine, but I heard she's fully rotated. Don't be scared though." She spoke up.

Serena cut her off, "I'm not scared."

The girl shrugged, "You look scared. Maybe it's just your face some people have a face that just looks a certain way."

I rolled my eyes, having had enough of the girl's attitude, "Oh, my God. Shut up." I scoffed in disbelief. Serena's friend looked down at my tone, unsure of what to do. I motioned for her to leave, which she did, "What a bitch."

"I know." Serena agreed, "I have to go but I'll come find you soon, okay?" I nodded in response as she left me standing alone.

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐑 next skating competition. I was standing beside the rink with Justin and Dasha. I frowned, "Do you think we should add an extra double so to the jump combination?" I asked.

The older woman shook her head, "No. You'll be fine." She spoke vaguely, distracted by her phone.

I turned to my boyfriend, "What's up with Dasha?"

He shrugged, "She mentioned some long-loss love messing with her head."

"Welcome to the ice our last skaters in the short program event from the Pinecrest Skating Club, Justin Davis and Maeve Adams." We took that as our cue to get on the ice.

We glided across the rink, performing our routine perfectly. I sat anxiously as we awaited the scores, "After the short program, Davis and Adams have a total of 61.35 points which puts them in first place."

I grinned in response, pulling my boyfriend into a kiss, "We did it."

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 that night and Justin and I were getting some rest before the long program the next day. I lay across from him, rubbing circles along his arm.

"Justin," I suddenly spoke up. He hummed in response, his eyes fluttering open, "I love you."

He grinned, placing a kiss on my lips, "I love you too."

"You know," I started, "After my fall, I never trusted anyone not to drop me again. I remember the first time you told me you'd never let me fall, that was the moment I fell in love with you. I couldn't be more grateful that you've made me love pair skating again as much as I used to. But it's not just about the skating any more for me. It's about you."

He moved closer to me, pressing his lips against mine in a heated kiss, "I love you, Maeve Adams. So much."

I whispered against his lips, "I love you, Justin Davis."
