Red's POV

I couldn't stop thinking about how to get back at Chloe for pushing me onto the floor earlier. As we walked back to our dorms after lunch, an idea started to form in my mind. I would set up a fake note, something that would make Chloe think I was in trouble.

I told Chloe I was going outside to take some fresh air, just to get her out of the room for a bit. As soon as she headed into the bathroom for a warm shower, I snuck back in and placed the note on her bed. I tried to stifle a giggle as I thought about her reaction.

The note said something like: "Red has been kidnapped and is seriously hurt. Meet us at the old oak tree if you want to see her again." I knew it was a bit dramatic, but I wanted to make sure Chloe would fall for it.

I hid under my own bed, waiting for Chloe to find the note. I heard the bathroom door open, and Chloe's footsteps as she walked back into the room. Then, I heard her gasp.

"Red? Oh my god, Red!" she exclaimed.

I bit my lip to keep from laughing. This was going to be good.

.........

Chloe's POV

I rushed out of the room, my heart racing with every step. The note said Red was hurt and kidnapped - I had to find her! I didn't know what was going on, but I knew I couldn't tell the Principal yet. I had to try and find Red on my own.

I ran to the old oak tree, scanning the area frantically for any sign of Red. But as I reached the tree, I realized no one was there. I looked around, calling out Red's name, but only the wind replied.

Panic set in as I searched the surrounding area, but there was no sign of Red. I was starting to get really scared. Where was she? Was she okay?

Exhausted and worried, I trudged back to our dorm room, hoping against hope that Red would be there, safe and sound. And then, I saw her. Sitting on her bed, looking completely fine.

"Red! Oh my god, I was so worried!" I exclaimed, relief washing over me.

But then I saw the smirk on her face, and my relief turned to annoyance. "You...you did this as a prank, didn't you?" I asked, trying to keep my cool.

Red just burst out laughing, and I couldn't help but laugh too, despite myself. "You should've seen your face when you saw the note!" Red teased, still chuckling.

I playfully rolled my eyes, trying to hide my lingering worry. "That's not funny, Red. I thought something had really happened to you!"

Red's grin faltered, and she looked sheepish for a moment before mimicking me, "That's not funny, Red..."

...............

Red's  POV

I couldn't resist mimicking Chloe's serious tone, "That's not funny, Red..." I said, trying to stifle a grin.

But as I looked at Chloe, I saw that she was still annoyed, despite her attempts to hide it. Her arms were crossed, and her eyes narrowed slightly. I realized I might have taken the prank too far.

"Hey, sorry Chloe," I said, dropping the mimicry and looking genuinely apologetic. "I didn't mean to scare you that much. I just wanted to get you back for pushing me onto the floor earlier."

Chloe's expression softened, and she giggled, "You're such a jerk, Red." But I could tell she was no longer mad.

I smiled, relieved, "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here." I teased, plopping down beside her on the bed.
