Red's POV

I woke up to find Chloe still sleeping peacefully. I checked the time and saw it was already 2:35 pm. We needed to get ready before 3 pm, so I gently shook Chloe awake.

At first, she didn't want to wake up, but then I whispered close to her ear, "Don't you want to go out with me?" A smirk played on my lips as I watched her nervous expression.

Chloe woke up with a start, saying "What?" in a confused tone. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight, teasing her further. "Who's the sleepyhead now?"

She hit my arm, and I playfully said "Ow, it hurts!" making a sad face. Chloe immediately apologized, concern etched on her face. "Am I hurting you? I'm sorry!"

I burst out laughing at her reaction, and she threw her pillow at me. I quickly dodged it and said, "No one throws pillows at me except me!" I grabbed my own pillow and retaliated, starting a playful pillow fight.

Before long, we were both laughing and throwing pillows at each other, the room filling with our joyful chaos. It was moments like these that I cherished, carefree and silly with my best friend.

As Chloe raised her pillow to strike, I blocked it and flipped us over, landing on top of her. Her face turned bright red as our eyes met.

Just then, the door swung open and Dizzy walked in, a sly grin spreading across her face. "If you two are going to get cozy, at least lock the door!" she teased.

I quickly jumped off Chloe, looking flustered. "It's not what you think!" I protested, while Chloe simultaneously said the same thing to her cousin.

Dizzy chuckled, shaking her head. "Sure, sure. Whatever you say. But you two need to get ready, fast! We don't have all day."

Chloe and I exchanged a sheepish glance, still flushed from our playful tussle. We scrambled to our feet, trying to compose ourselves as Dizzy laughed and headed out the door. "I'll leave you two to get ready. But don't take too long, or we'll be late!"

Chloe's POV

I rushed to the bathroom, still flustered by what just happened. Red was on top of me! I felt a flutter in my stomach, and Dizzy's teasing didn't help. I took a hot shower, trying to calm down, and got dressed in a blue shirt and pants, adding my mini jacket and glass slipper boots. I checked myself in the mirror, feeling confident, and walked out of the bathroom.

Red was staring at me, making me blush. "You look beautiful, Chloe," she said, smiling. I thanked her, feeling my face heat up, as she headed to the bathroom.

I grabbed my sword, securing it in place, just in case. As I locked my phone, Red emerged, looking stunning in a red hoodie, black leather pants, and black boots. I couldn't help but stare.

"Got a staring problem?" she teased, making me blush again. Why did I keep blushing?!

"You look, uh, good," I mumbled, trying to play it cool. Red laughed, and I quickly changed the subject. "We should get going if we're going to meet Dizzy and Celia at the entrance."

As we walked down the school hallway, Red playfully suggested I should've worn Hook's shoes to protect my glass slipper boots. I hit her arm, giggling, and we continued on our way to meet the others.

We met up with Dizzy, who was still smirking at me. Seriously, the girl didn't know when to stop. Just then, an Auradon limo pulled up, and we climbed inside. Red sat beside me, while Dizzy and Celia sat across from us.

Dizzy told the driver we were headed to the Isle of the Lost, and then she pulled out a snack from the car's mini-bar. "You guys are really something," she said, munching on chips.

I looked at her, curious. "What do you mean?"

Dizzy hesitated, then said, "Never mind." The car stopped, and I was relieved she didn't finish her sentence. I made a mental note that Dizzy and I needed to have a talk after this trip.

The driver announced our arrival, and we stepped out of the limo, onto the infamous Isle of the Lost. The air was thick with magic, and I could feel the excitement building up inside me.

............

Red's POV

As we explored the Isle of the Lost, I couldn't help but notice Chloe's excitement. She was taking in every detail, from the people to their eclectic clothing. I chuckled to myself and said, "You guys seriously wear clothes here?"

Chloe nudged me, giving me a disapproving look. "What, I'm just joking," I said, grinning.

But Chloe scolded me, "That's not a nice thing to say." I shrugged, not thinking much of it.

Dizzy, however, jumped in to explain, "Hey, they didn't exactly have access to proper clothing when the Isle was locked away. And now that it's open and VKs are allowed outside, they still feel the edge, you know? It's like a tradition to wear the same clothes."

I nodded, understanding, as we continued our stroll through the Isle.

As we walked further, Dizzy turned to us and said, "Want to make your hair a bit more... fun?" Chloe excitedly jumped at the offer, saying "Of course!" while I hesitated, saying "I don't know."

Celia reassured me, "Dizzy is the best at doing this kind of thing," but I was still unsure. Chloe begged me, her eyes sparkling with excitement, until I finally gave in.

Just then, Celia said with a grin, "Wow, Red, you're down bad." I smirked, responding, "I could say the same for you." Celia nervously laughed, saying "We're just friends," and I rolled my eyes, teasing her.

Dizzy asked me how I wanted my hair done, and I told her to surprise me. As she worked her magic, I was a bit scared for my hair's safety, but when she finished and handed me a mini mirror, I was pleasantly surprised. My hair was straightened and red, with pink designs woven through it. I looked... stunning.

Chloe's compliment made me blush, and I tried to hide my face, but she just laughed. When it was her turn, I stepped outside to explore and spotted Celia.

I teased her, asking why she wasn't with Dizzy, and she replied that she wanted Dizzy to focus on her own things. Then, she asked me why I wasn't with Chloe, and I said I wanted to give her some space and look around.

Celia smiled slyly and said, "Then we're in the same shoes."

"What do you mean?" I asked, curious.

"I see the way you look at Chloe," Celia said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You can't hide it. You really like her, and you let your guard down when you're around her."

I defensively said, "She's my friend, Celia. That's all."

Celia chuckled. "Sure, Red. Keep telling yourself that. But I know what I see. You're not as tough as you think you are when it comes to Chloe."

I shook my head, trying to brush off Celia's words, but she just laughed and said, "Maybe a little. But someone needs to call you out on your feelings. You're not fooling anyone, Red."
