Chloe's POV

Our lips parted, and Red's forehead rested against mine. Her breath reeked of alcohol, and her words slurred.

"Chloe, I..." Red's voice trailed off, her eyes unfocused.

I gently pushed her away, concern etched on my face. "Red, stop. This isn't right."

Red's eyes clouded, confusion written across her face. "Wha' wrong?"

"You're drunk, Red. This isn't okay," I said firmly, holding her at arm's length.

Red's expression turned petulant. "Don' care. Want you."

My heart ached, but I stood firm. "Not like this, Red. You're not thinking clearly."

Red stumbled forward, her lips brushing mine again. I turned my head, avoiding the kiss.

"Red, stop. Please."

Red's face crumpled, tears welling up. "You don' want me?"

"Of course, I do, Red. But not when you're like this," I said softly.

Red's gaze dropped, shame washing over her.

I guided Red to her bed, helping her sit down. She looked up at me, tears streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry, Chloe," Red slurred, her voice barely audible.

"It's okay, Red. Just sleep it off," I said softly, handing her a tissue.

Red nodded, lying down. As I covered her with a blanket, her hand grasped my waist, pulling me close.

"Red, no," I whispered, trying to pull away.

But Red's grip tightened.

"Stay," Red pleaded, her eyes locked onto mine.

I hesitated, then lay down beside her.

Red's lips brushed against mine, gentle and soft.

But I remembered her earlier words, and the alcohol on her breath.

"Red, stop. You're drunk," I whispered, turning my head.

Red's face fell, and she released me.

"I'm sorry," Red whispered again.

"It's okay. Just sleep," I replied, stroking her hair.

Red nodded, her breathing slowing.

As she drifted off, I wondered what tomorrow would bring.

I woke up to an empty bed, surprised. Red was never a morning person, especially on holidays.

Where was she?

I sat up, scanning the room. The bathroom door creaked open, and Red emerged.

My eyes widened.

Red wore black shorts and a crop top, showcasing her toned physique. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, accentuating her radiant smile.

I blushed, instantly.

Red chuckled. "Blushing princess."

My face burned hotter.

"Shut up," I muttered, hiding behind my pillow.

Red laughed, sauntering over. "You're adorable when you're flustered."

I peeked from behind the pillow, meeting Red's teasing gaze.

"You're...not helping," I stammered.

Red grinned. "Sorry, princess."
