After listening to Sumit’s explanation, Maya’s gaze shifted toward Linda. In a sudden fit of anger, Linda hurled a glass of hot water at a nearby hotel staff member.

Maya’s expression remained impassive as she glanced between Linda and the staff. A delicate smile graced her lips.

With a piercing gaze fixed on Linda, Maya asked calmly, “Find out what’s really going on.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Sumit responded promptly before taking his leave.

As Maya’s attention moved away from Linda, her eyes fell on a board in the hotel lobby.

The board was elegantly inscribed in both Sanskrit and English: "अतिथि देवो भवः" (Guests are like God).

Since the inception of Dream Hotel, the Arya family had faithfully upheld the principle that guests are treated as deities. This rule was so ingrained that no matter how poorly a guest behaved, hotel staff were forbidden from retaliating. This practice had both protected the hotel's reputation and tied their hands.

Dream Hotel was renowned as a luxury establishment, catering only to the affluent and respectable. However, among these esteemed guests were those who, blinded by their wealth, mistreated the staff, knowing they would face no repercussions.

Under Maya’s management, such exploitation had been significantly reduced, though not entirely eliminated.

Maya’s gaze returned to Linda, then drifted upwards to the top floor of the hotel, where her bright brown eyes met the deep blue eyes of an enigmatic figure.

Their eyes locked in a powerful and intense connection, despite the distance. No emotion flickered in the oceanic depths of the stranger's gaze.

Maya remained calm as she continued to hold the stranger's gaze, the intensity between them palpable.

After nearly ten minutes of this silent exchange, Sumit returned, breaking Maya's focus.

“Madam,” Sumit said, drawing her attention.

Maya turned to him as he explained,“Madam, Linda only requested hot water from our staff. But for some reason, she started behaving hysterically after seeing it.”

Maya’s lips curved into an odd smile. She had encountered many such tantrum-throwing actresses and knew exactly how to handle them.

Without a word, Maya walked toward Linda.

Linda was still berating the staff when Maya approached, causing the crowd that had gathered around her to fall silent.

Linda had attracted quite an audience with her antics, but the sight of Maya silenced even them. The guests' eyes held a mixture of fear and loathing for Maya.

Maya’s smile remained, sweet yet inscrutable, as she observed the emotions in the guests’ eyes. Linda, still unaware of Maya’s presence, continued her tirade.

Her assistant finally tugged at her sleeve and whispered, “Ma’am, the hotel manager is here.”

Linda turned to face Maya, and seeing her striking beauty only fueled her jealousy and anger.

Seething, Linda spat out, “So, you’re the manager of this place? What a joke! This so-called luxury hotel is a disgrace! Your staff doesn’t even know how to treat guests properly. And you call this dump the world’s best luxury hotel? It’s nothing but trash!”

Throughout Linda’s rant, Maya’s expression didn’t falter. Her serene smile only seemed to deepen, while the other guests looked on in growing dread.
