POV ENGFA

"So, I've managed to cut about 500 people from the guest list, but why is the number still so high? Ugh! I just don't get it. Why are there so many, Bee? Is this our wedding or a royal wedding?" Charlotte said while munching on her breakfast at the kitchen counter, while I'm sitting on the sofa watching the news on TV.

I couldn't help but laugh at Charlotte's frustration. She's been ranting since yesterday afternoon when P'Daad sent over an additional list of guests for our reception next month. Oh God, I'm really getting married next month!

When it comes to our wedding, we decided to have the traditional ceremony on the first day in Bangkok, just with close family and relatives. But the next day, we're throwing a huge reception. Honestly, both Charlotte and I wanted something simpler, but with my position as the owner of a major media group and Charlotte's reputation in Hollywood, it's impossible to keep it small or low-key.

We had initially planned for about 1,000 guests-already a massive number we both sorted out together. But now, that number keeps creeping up with more names being added from both sides of the family. It's like it's growing on its own.

"I don't mind, honestly," I said, shrugging. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime event, after all."

"But we'll be so exhausted," Charlotte whined, her voice tinged with concern. "We won't even have the energy for our honeymoon if we have to greet more than 2,000 people in one night. We'll be stuck shaking hands forever!" Her frustration was almost endearing. "Ugh! I don't want to complain, but bless our traditions, we need to have 8 sessions of wedding ceremonies before the reception! Oh my God, baby, why are there so many steps to getting married?" She slumped on the table, fake crying.

"Baby, what can we do? They're P'Daad's friends, and I know them too. We can't just not invite them. Besides, your mom added a lot to that guest list too. Do you want to complain to her? I don't think so!"

She only fake cried more at hearing that, making me chuckle at her exaggerated expressions. "And yeah, about the traditions, we can't do anything, can we? Let's just say we'll need a whole lot of energy for that!"

Then I got up and walked over to her, still in her pajamas, with her tablet in hand, scrolling through the never-ending list of names. I standing beside her, glanced at the list too, and even I felt the headache starting to form.

Charlotte pouted in exasperation. "This is really overwhelming. I didn't expect planning a wedding to be this complicated."

I leaned down and kissed the top of her head, trying to ease her stress. "2,000 people isn't the end of the world, Char. We can handle it."

She shot me a look, half-amused and half-incredulous. "Bee, that's a ridiculous amount of people! And what about the costs? We can't just ignore that."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her worrying. "Nuu, why are you stressing over the budget? We could host a 7-day, 7-night party with 2,000 guests if we wanted to. It's our wedding, our once-in-a-lifetime moment. Budget is the least of our concerns."

She quickly slapped my arm playfully. "If I left it up to you, we'd be broke in a month."

I laughed, stepping away. "Alright, alright. I'm going to shower, baby. I've got to head to the office after that."

She nodded, her lips still slightly pouting as she continued to scroll through the list. I shook my head with a smile as I headed back to the bedroom, thinking about how crazy yet wonderful the next month is going to be.

"Wow, can you believe it? Just look at your history-years of breaking up and getting back together. I couldn't be more surprised that you two are getting married now, P'Fa," Chompu said during lunch with me and Nudee today.
