36. Remember Us This Way

POV CHARLOTTE

We've been in Sydney for three days, and this afternoon, the shoot for The Devious Hearts finally wrapped up. As usual, the crew was packing up when I approached P'Fa, who was casually leaning against a table, snacking, wearing her oversized T-shirt, long jeans, and glasses.

She flashed a wide smile when she saw me coming toward her.

"Teerak, the shoot is finally over," she said as I stood right in front of her. I took some of her snacks from the table and ate a bit.

"Right... so where's my kangaroo, babe?" I asked casually, making her pause her chewing.

She smiled nervously, then glanced at her watch.

"It's already 3 o'clock, Nuu... where can we even find a kangaroo sanctuary at this time?" she chuckled.

I just gave her a bored look.

"Nuu... we can come back here another time, naa? I'll take you on vacation here. I promise," she said in a cute voice, taking my fingers and gently rubbing them.

I pulled my hand away, grabbed some more snacks, and pretended to look at my phone. After a moment, she touched my hand again.

"Teerak... what are you doing? Are you mad? Don't be mad, Nuu. We wouldn't make it in time for kangaroo" she said softly, trying to coax me.

"I'm looking for accommodations over there. I'll go by myself. You stay at the hotel, okay?"

I pocketed my phone again and started to walk away, making her chase after me.

Now, her tone was a bit more frustrated.
"Teerak! Where are you going? Do you even know?"

I kept walking, ignoring her while pretending to be upset.

Of course, I wasn't really mad-just a bit annoyed that she absolutely refused to follow my simple request. I just wanted to see a kangaroo. How hard could it be?

We're in Australia, after all. It's their country, for God's sake! It will be different from seeing one in thailand.

"Char... baby..." P'Fa kept walking beside me, now removing her glasses and placing them on her head. She tried to hold my hand again, but I kept pulling away. This time, though, she held on tightly, almost gripping our clasped hands so I wouldn't let go.

"Nuu... Teeraaakkk? Ugh!" she groaned in frustration, making me stop walking.

"What? I told you a week ago that I wanted to see a kangaroo. You said we'd try if we had time, and now it's just 3 pm, and you're giving me excuses. You really don't love me anymore; just admit it." I started walking again, but she pulled me back, letting out a deep sigh before kissing my hand.

"Alright, let's go find that kangaroo."

I smiled at that. She can't refuse me, always.

"Where's the place? Let's go," she said now.

I pulled out my phone again, "Hold on, I saved the location earlier."
She leaned in to look at the screen, waiting for me.

"Here, Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, it's only a 30-minute from here," I said, showing her the location on my phone.

She sighed, "Alright, let's go." She looked around and spotted P'Sun, who was packing up with my assistant. "P'Sun! Head back to the hotel with the others. I'm going out with Charlotte for a bit!"

P'Sun, who was a few meters away, furrowed his brow and called back, "Whoa! Where are you two going?"

He walked over, carrying P'Fa's small bag. "Engfa! Charlotte! We have an early flight to Bangkok tomorrow, I don't want to deal with your grumpiness if you are too tired, Fa!" P'Sun grumbled as he handed P'Fa her small bag.
