Chapter 19

The next morning felt like a normal day but just in a different village. I stood up and changed into my uniform and left my room at the inn.

"Kazuma." Someone called my name across the hall. I turned my head to see Muichiro right outside of his door also in his uniform.

"Morning." I crack my hands and waist to stretch because my body was hurting.

"What are you doing today?" I asked him curiously.

"I'm going to the forest to fight a mechanical doll as a way to past time, but I need the key to use it." I nod and walk over to him.

"I'll come too I guess I have nothing to do anyways." I tell him.

We start to walk out of the inn and Muichiro was staring at something in my direction, "what are you looking at?" I asked him.

"There's blood seeping out the bandage on your hand." He points at the hand and was cut yesterday and when I looked down at it there was red spots slowly spreading across the bandage.

"Shit it started to bleed again. I'll bandage it later." I told him. He nods and we continue to walk till we get to a forest.

-a while later-

When we get to the forest Muichiro finds a little boy near the doll and he walks up to it.

If this goes bad and he hurts the kid then I'm not apart of it. I vanish and go up to a tree branch and sit on it. I'm just going to watch.

Muichiro hasn't been the greatest with strangers for as long as I remember. He one time sliced a man's arm with his sword because he annoyed him. His arm didn't get cut off though. But I did have to bandage the arm though. I hope he doesn't do the same thing to the kid.

"You have the key give it also I need you to tell me how to use it." He says to the kid.

"No!" The kid responds back. I put in my ear buds just in case there is a loud argument.

"Give me the key." He says. I sense that he's starting to get mad at the kid which starts to worry me on what's going to happen.

"GO AWAY! IM NOT GIVING THE KEY NO MATTER WHAT! AND I AINT DEFINITELY NOT TEACHING YOU HOW TO USE IT!" The kid responds back angrily.

Muichiro raises his hand and hits the kid on the neck.

Oh no...

Suddenly a voice comes from ahead coming towards the two, "HEY! WHATRE YOU DOING!? LET GO OF HIM!" Tanjiro comes out of nowhere and interferes grabbing Muichiro in the wrist which was holding the kids top.

Can this day get any worse...

"Your voice is so annoying. Who're you again?" Muichiro asked.

"WHATRE YOU DOING TO A KID! GET YOUR..." Tanjiro suddenly stops talking.

"You. Let go." Muichiro says coldly. I have to say. That was pretty hot.

Wait.

Suddenly Muichiro uses his elbow to hit Tanjiro in the stomach knocking him down. Tanjiro coughs out saliva and tries to control his breathing.

"You're really weak I don't know how you became a demon hunter. Hmm I sense something strange in that box. It feels like a demon. What's in there? Is that..." Tanjiro stands up and tries to hit Muichiro but he misses.

"Don't touch." He says. His sister must be in there. What else could there be?

Muichiro was now only holding the top from the kid because Tanjiro swiftly slid the kid out so fast.

"G-GET OFF ME!" The kid yells at Tanjiro moving his hands like a kid fighting.

"You don't look good. Take care of yourself." Tanjiro said to the kid.

"GO AWAY!" The kid screams back slapping his hand away.

"I'm not handing this key over to anyone. Not even under torture. It is gonna break very soon." He says slightly shaking.

"Have you ever been under torture? Not even adults can handle it, so it's impossible for you. It seems you're just a dumb kid who doesn't understand his place. And so what if it breaks? Just make another. You know, in all this you've been grumbling and mumbling. Do you know how many people have died. This is what happens when you get in the way of a pillar. Unlike you a pillars time is really important. You'd understand if you thought a little. Swordsmith's can't fight. They can't save lives. Making weapons is all they're good for. Come on. Key." Muichiro reaches his hand out to the boy excepting the key.

"Understand your place when you act. You're not a baby anymore you know." The boys shakes a lot nearly seeming to cry. Tanjiro slaps Muichiro hand.

"What is this about?" Muichiro questions.

"THIS DOESNT SIT RIGHT TO ME!! IM NOT EXACTLY SURE WHY!! WHAT ABOUT CONSIDERATION??? YOU CANT JUST FORGET TO BE CONSIDERATE!! THATS JUST CRUEL!!" Tanjiro yells to Muichiro. I'm glad I'm wearing my ear plugs.

"Am I acting cruel?" Muichiro asks. He never seems to acknowledge how he acts.

"EVERYTHING YOU SAID IS MORE IR LESS RIGHT! BUT EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT WRONG." Tanjiro keeps on ranting till Muichiro interferes by saying, "Sorry. I don't have time to talk about dumb stuff." He said then slamming his hand to Tanjiro's neck knocking him out.

I finally get down from the tree and stand next to Muichiro, "You didn't have to hit him so hard you know." I tell him looking down at Tanjiro's body.

"He was wasting our time." He tells me back.

I raise my head and looked at the still shaky kid. I walk over time him and crouch to his eye level.

"Show me your neck." I tell him.

"No!" He shouts back.

"If you don't that bruise on your neck will get worse and you will be hurting for weeks." He jumps scared and turns around showing me the bruised neck.

"Muichiro don't do that again." I side eye Muichiro while he had a blank face not saying anything.

"Sigh... your neck seems to be pretty purple but not that much. It will go by a week." I tell the kid.

"I thought you said it will take weeks." He said back.

"I lied." I tell him.

The kid was facing me now, "But it's not good to lie."

"People do it all the time it's part of life."

"May I have the key please?" I tell him holding out my hand.

"Fine. Just don't break it." He hands me the key.

I nod and stand up walking over to Muichiro handing him the key.

"Aren't you going to help him?" The kid suddenly says pointing to Tanjiro.

"No he's a demon hunter. He has to aid himself. It's a good practice for them." I say.

"Goodbye then."

"W-wait! You're really pretty by the way!"

"You look really pretty sissy."

I stop in my steps.

Taisho Era Secrets!:

-Tanjiro smelled Kazuma in the area but was too focused on the situation on hand.

-The only reason Kotetsu gave the key was because he trusted Kazuma and thought she was pretty.

-Muichiro was stunned how easily Kazuma got the key.

Sorry for the late publish! I started school a while ago and I've been busy a lot lately and have been uploading a lot slower recently as you guys can see. I'll try my best at least posting once a well for you guys. And also if you guys are in school right now, do your homework and don't read fanfics. Do that later I care for your grades you know.
