Chapter 27

3rd person POV:
"Kotetsu I have a question." Kazuma asks the young boy. It was morning the day after the big fight.

"Yeah what is Kazuma-San?" Ever since the fight Kazuma let Kotetsu use her first name because she sees him as a close friend.

"Do you want to come back to the demon slayer corps and stay with me and Muichiro for a while? Kanamori is also going to be there, but mainly for Muichiro." She tells Kotetsu.

"Really?!" Kotestu says to Kazuma excitingly.

"Yes! I even have cats at my mansion if you want to meet them. They're the sweetest!" Kazuma tells him happily.

"Well I'm coming with you two!" Kotetsu says.

"Yay that's wonderful! Well why don't you go home and pack up your stuff we're leaving in an hour." She says to the boy.

"Alright!" Kotetsu runs happily away back to wherever he leaves.

"Did he say yes?" A Muichiro sneaked behind Kazuma surprising the girl.

"Oh my god I didn't even notice you were there, but yeah he said yes. I also heard when we get back that we have a hashira meeting." Kazuma turned to face Muichiro and smiled when he saw him.

"Yeah Ginko told me. Did you know she's dating Kenji now?" Muichiro asked

"You're kidding right? Kenji didn't tell me. That damn bird." Kazuma muffled the last part but Muichiro was still able to understand her.

"Yeah but we are also dating technically." Muichiro informed to her.

"Yeah true..." Kazuma says blushing.

"Anyway how's your face doing? Do the injuries still hurt as much as before?" Kazuma held Muichiro's face on both sides and was making sure there was nothing wrong.

"No, but what about your injuries? The bandage around your forehead is still on. It must have not healed yet." He pointed to my forehead.

"Of course it hasn't it's only been a day. Anyway I'm going to get my stuff and leave the village." Kazuma tells Muichiro. She waves him goodbye and starts to walk to her inn.

-time skip-
Kazuma POV:

The Hashira were all together waiting for the meeting to start.

They were talking a little but I wasn't focusing. I looked down at my hands which the upper half of my hands are now dark blue.

Before I went to the meeting I asked Shinobu about it and she told me she doesn't know what will happen if it spreads more, she was mad at me that I used the form though when she told me not to till she finds a medication for it.

"Nakamura. I was asking how you were." Iguro said. I raised up my head and turned it to him.

"Oh I'm doing good." I say smiling.

"If we lose any more Hashira, the demon slayer corps will be in danger. However it's good that they defeated two upper-rank demons and survived." Gyomei said. While I was away, he was the one taking care of my cats.

"You three healed quite quickly this time. What happened." Shinobu asked.

I was about to speak but was interuppted by Giyu saying, "I suppose the master will tell us about that too."

Amane Ubuyashiki came through the door and greeted us, "Thank you for waiting so long. I will represent Kagaya Ubuyashiki at today's hashira meeting. Due to master Kagaya's worsening illness he is no longer able to appear before you. He extends his heartfelt apology."

We all face the woman and bow down to her in respect, "Understood. I pray from the bottom of my heart that the light of master's life continues to burn even one day longer. And lady Amane's spirit remains strong." Gyomei said.

"I am deeply grateful to all the Hashira..." Amane responded bowing her head down.

-time skip-

After the meeting I am talking to Muichiro while walking back to our estate.

In the meeting we learned that there was a mark that appeared on our bodies during the fight and it was what helped us defeat the demon.

Apparently Tanjiro got it before us.

"So for the Hashira training what are you thinking of doing?" I ask Muichiro.

"We can do something with speed. We both are assigned a slayer to fight and if they attack us or they defend our attack, we can send them to the next person." Muichiro proposed.

"That's a good idea let's do it!" I say.

"Yeah but we have to train more to maintain our mark condition. Kazuma we don't have a lot of time left. You never know what will happen." Muichiro says with a sorrow face.

"Yeah I know. We got this though. Even if we aren't going to live much longer let's have as much time as we can together." I grab his hand and look at him with a soft smile.

"I guess we should." He gripped my hand and smiled back to me.

-a  2 weeks later-

The Hashira training a while started and me and Muichiro had many rookie slayers to fight and train.

"Too slowly."

"You're not using your blade wisely."

"Stop getting distracted."

"Break time everyone..." I say to the slayers. I am quite disappointed in these new slayers. They are always wide open and can't even focus.

"Kazuma do you need some." Muichiro came up to me with a jug of water in hand and raised it towards me.

"Thanks..." I take the jug and drink it.

Muichiro walks away after and goes to the backyard.

I finish my jug and also go out but what I see is surprising. This happened before...

Muichiro had his top off and was cleaning his upper body. There were bruises and scratches all around his body.

He's been training too much like before.

"Muichiro why aren't you taking care of your self well?" I ask him. He was surprised that I was there.

"K-Kazuma..."

"Here I'll bandage you up." I say to him.

"N-no it's fine." He says back.

"No it's not. You have bruises all over your body and apparently I wasn't paying too much attention on your physical health." I grab his wrist and lead him inside.

I take him to my room and I take out the bandages in my drawers.

I wrap up the places where it was bruised.

After I was done I looked at him and he looked guilty.

"Sigh... I'm sorry I acted like that... I was just worried for you." I say to him.

"It's okay." He says and looks up at me smiling.

I smile back at him and hug him and he hugs me back.

-A while later-

The door to the front opens and comes a familiar person. Me and Muichiro turn our heads and smile.

"Tanjiro!" We say in unison.

Taisho Era Secrets!:

-Muichiro and Kazuma are together! (As you might already know)

-Muichiro and Kazuma both like Tanjiro the same way.

-Kotetsu is staying in Kazuma house and usually plays with her cats.
