Blue

I have been in Yellow's room before, but it's still mind-boggling to see how many smiley faces a single being can plaster. It's almost frightening seeing all these faces grinning at me at once. Yellow and the other colors have slipped into their PJs. Green's pajamas have a green grassy design on them, Pink's are made out of a silky pink fabric, and Orange's bright orange pajamas are so vibrant you could see them from space.

As for Red and Yellow...

Red's definition of pajamas are a red tank top and boxers, showing off her thighs for the rest of us to see.

Pink: Ugh, are you for real?

Red: Shut up! I can wear what I want!

Pink rolls her eyes and looks away.

Pink: Barf me out...

But Yellow's... oh boy.

She is wearing a full-on yellow padded onesie that covers every part of her body except her face. She's got this hood built into her onsie that she puts on, making her look like a stalk of corn.

Yellow: Whooo! I can already feel the fun radiating through my body!

Green: I'm fairly sure that's your skin begging to breathe.

Orange: Okay, gang, I'll take care of finding a sweet flick or two!

Orange races over to Yellow's TV and scrolls through the list of movies.

Yellow: I'VE GOT THE SNACKS!

Yellow bolts out of the room as fast as lightning.

Green: I'll bring the console from my room.

Green leaves the room as Pink walks over to Red.

Pink: Hey, joanie, let's go bring some more blankets, and make a wicked blanket-pillow-fort thingie.

Red glares up at her.

Red: I hated everything you just said.

Pink rolls her eyes.

Pink: Just c'mon...

Red growls to herself as she drags herself out of the room with Pink. That leaves me to my lonesome.

Great.

But as I'm standing on a smiley face rug, I realize there are two colors I haven't met yet.

Blue and Purple.

Since each floor belongs to a different color (from Red to Pink), it would make sense for Blue's room to be two floors above Yellow's. So I leave the room and find the stairwell in the center of the hallway. I head up the stairs, making my way from the Yellow floor, to the Green floor, to ultimately arriving at the Blue floor. And lo and behold, at the end of the hallway there is a closed door. It would make sense for Blue to be behind it. I clear my throat and approach the door, thinking about what I should say to Blue when they open the door. Soon, my feet are centimeters from the door and I knock twice.

{knock} {knock}

...

The door doesn't open. I try knocking a second time, since maybe Blue didn't hear me.

{knock} {knock}

...

Still nothing.

Then I hear Green's voice from behind me.

Green: Good luck with that. Blue never leaves her room unless she has to.
