Orchid is pacing back and forth in the throne room, her face ridden with concern.

Orchid: No matter how hard we persuade them... They refuse to take action... How can we possibly hope to detain this child without any knowledge of where he could be...?

The shadow-shrouded figure on the throne responds.

(?): You must give them an ultimatum... Restricting their freedom is not enough...

Orchid turns to face the throne and stands attentively.

Orchid: What do you suggest we do, then, my queen...?

(?): Put something priceless on the line... Something that cannot be replaced...

Orchid: {nods} I see... A life for a life...

(?): Precisely...

Orchid: Then it shall be so.

(?): It better be... I want this boy in my clutches today... The longer the boy lives... the closer HIS goals come to fruition... Do me this honor, dear Orchid...

Orchid: Yes, my dark mistress...

Orchid bows before the figure and strides out of the room.

Staying hidden inside a massive residence like this can be overwhelming. But whenever such incident occurs, one must look fresh. That's why Pink has invited me to her room, where she is treating my hair the same way she did last time, spraying it with a bunch of, well, bubble-gum scented hairspray. I wasn't sure how I'd feel, smelling like gum, but I quite enjoy the aroma.

Pink's rambling, maybe a little less.

Pink: And then she was, like, totes upset that Lavender was checking out her boyfriend, but Amber told Turquoise that Maroon, her boyfriend, was actually going OUT with Lavender behind her BACK!

Me: Um... Why would he do that?

Pink: 'Cause Turquoise was so, like, livid that Maroon wasn't spending time with HER, so she started flirting with Tangelo.

Me: Tangelo?

Pink: Maroon's, like, rival or whatever. So then Maroon thought Turquoise was cheating on HIM, and that's when Amber told Turquoise that Maroon got horizontal with Lavender.

...

Me: Horizontal?

Pink: It means they had sex.

Me: WHAT?!

Pink: {giggles} But they didn't, 'cause Amber was known for bein' a lying joanie-ass attention hog, so we all knew better than to listen to her crap.

....

Me: Okay, I think that's enough for today.

I get up and look at myself in the mirror. Although I look great, I feel terrible. I can't believe I have to remain hidden because the villains have made several announcements to the city about my capture. But the worst part is that none of the other colors can leave either, since their signature could be detected by some radar or whatever, and it could link straight to me.

Me: Pink, I'm sorry you guys have to stay hidden too, because of me.

Pink: Hey, don't sweat, Dom man. Sure, I'd like to be able to go out again, but not at your expense.

Me: But you shouldn't have to endure MY struggle. I mean, Red's going crazy because she can't go to the gym. Orange can't dribble on the court... Yellow, well, she's her own thing, but... I should be taking responsibility for this.

Pink: Well, you can't just go out there and turn yourself in. We won't let you do that.

Me: Really?

Pink: Really. You're stuck with us like super glue.

As she exits her room with a smile, she leaves behind a surge of worry in me.
