3 quar- "Astro, stop being so serious! Your low voice is making me bored...."

"O-oh, sorry Dandy.... I'm just not used to this..." "Well, ya should get used to it!" Dandy chuckled, booping me on the nose before going back to writing his notes.

I suppose this needs a bit of an explanation, huh..? How could weak, gentle, and naïve Astro be working behind the scenes with this monster?

Well, I just followed Dandy's Advice.

"Why follow the same rules, do the same thing over and over, when you can join me and experience an adventure?"

He said a lot more than that to me, of course, like how our experiments could help better the team, how knowing how much affects the others will tell us how much time they have until twisting, that gap being where we help them out, but I know that'll never happen.

Besides, I've given up on the others. The silly little friendships I had with them. What Dandy and I have is much more. Our relationship was built and forged with ichor, sweat, and tears. That bond can't be broken.

He waved his hand in my face, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Hellooooo? Earth to Astro? Get out of your little headspace, we're on break!" Another laugh from him. I nodded, smiling a little myself, feeling the scars over my eye and right side of my face stretch a little.

"Sorry.... I've just been thinking about the recent measurements. How much are we going to be testing? How much do we expect will be consumed?"

Dandy frowned, shaking his head in disappointment. "C'mon, Asy, we don't care about any of that stuff! We just gotta make sure it's safe and the times tied to the measurements." He took his rubber gloves off, washing his hands in the sink and drying them off.

He passed by me cleaning up my station, kissing my cheek and exiting out the door, not before giving me a smirk, a gleam of red in his eyes.

I blushed, looking away. I hated when he did that...

Astro?

Astro!! Get up!!
