The day had finally arrived – Vihaan and Priya’s wedding. Both households were buzzing with excitement, music, laughter, and the flurry of last-minute preparations. In Priya’s house, the sound of traditional wedding songs filled the air as family members rushed around, ensuring everything was perfect for their beloved daughter’s big day. The aroma of delicious food wafted through the house, and guests could be seen chatting excitedly, ready for the grand wedding that was to take place.
In Priya’s room, Neha was helping her sister get ready. The room was filled with the soft clinking of bangles, the rustling of silk, and the sweet scent of fresh flowers. Priya sat in front of the mirror, glowing with happiness as the makeup artist applied the final touches to her look. She was dressed in a royal red and golden lehenga, sent by Vihaan’s family, adorned with intricate embroidery and embellishments. The heavy dupatta draped over her head completed the look of a regal queen. Her jewellery, including the chooda, bangles, and heavy necklace, sparkled in the light, making her look like a true Rajasthani princess.
Priya’s makeup was done to perfection, subtle yet radiant, with a touch of traditional Rajasthani elegance. Her hair was styled in a classic bridal bun, adorned with flowers and gold accessories. As she looked at her reflection in the mirror, she couldn’t help but smile – today, she was not just Priya, but Vihaan’s bride.
Neha, standing beside her, couldn’t contain her excitement. "Di, aap toh bilkul rani lag rahi ho! Vihaan jiju ki toh aankhein tum se hatengi hi nahi," she teased, adjusting the dupatta on Priya's head.
Priya blushed, her smile widening as she looked at her sister. "Neha, bas karo. Aaj ka din itna khoobsurat hai... main bas chahti hoon ki sab kuch theek se ho," Priya said, her voice soft but filled with joy.
Just then, her parents, Subhash and Kavita, entered the room. Both of them froze for a moment, their eyes welling up with tears as they saw their daughter, all dressed up as a bride. Kavita walked up to Priya and gently touched her cheek, her voice trembling, "Meri beti... aaj tu kitni khoobsurat lag rahi hai."
Priya stood up, her emotions taking over as she hugged her mother tightly. "Maa... aaj sab kuch ek sapne jaisa lag raha hai," Priya whispered, her eyes moist with tears of happiness.
Subhash joined them, his voice choked with emotion, "Priya, hamesha humne tujhe sirf apni chhoti si beti ke roop mein dekha hai. Aaj tujhe dulhan bante dekh kar... mann bhar aaya hai. Vihaan bohot khushnaseeb hai jo usse tu mili hai."
Priya wiped her tears and smiled up at her father, "Papa, aap logon ka pyaar aur aashirwad hi meri taaqat hai. Aur aap dono ne jo mujhe pyaar diya hai, uske liye main kabhi shukriya nahi keh paungi."
Kavita, trying to hold back her tears, said, "Beta, tujhe hamesha apne faislon par fakhr hona chahiye. Vihaan ek achha ladka hai, aur hum jaante hain ki tum dono ek dusre ka bohot khayal rakhoge."
Neha sniffled, trying to lighten the moment, "Okay okay, ab rona band karo. Varna makeup kharab ho jayega, aur phir aap log hi bologe ki main sab theek nahi kar paayi!"
Everyone laughed at Neha's lighthearted comment, breaking the emotional tension in the room.
Priya, with her heart filled with love and gratitude, looked at her reflection once more. She was ready. Ready to embark on this new chapter of her life with Vihaan, and no matter what lay ahead, she was certain of one thing – this was her moment, and she was going to embrace it fully.
The room was filled with a warmth that only family can provide, and as the final moments of preparation ticked away, Priya felt an overwhelming sense of peace. Today, she would marry the man she had grown to love, and the thought of Vihaan waiting for her at the mandap made her heart flutter with excitement.
