My parents and my relatives came to visit me today. Everyone brought 'Get well soon ' baskets and balloons. Then they all crowded the hospital bed and prayed for a few minutes and then they sat down and ate pizza. I just stood there in the corner watching everybody eating and talking. They all seemed sad.
Later on, Lisa, Ryan and Tara came to visit and they brought flowers and balloons. Finally, Jake came. He came with flowers and balloons. He sat down by the bed. "Oh Caroline, this is all my fault. I shouldn't have dared you to jump in the first place and now you're fighting for your life..." He started crying. "I don't know if I'm ever going to see you again, but I really need to tell you something. I like you. I really like you. I've liked you for such a long time, but I just couldn't tell you, but I figured since I might not see you again, I should come and tell you." He took my hand and kissed it. He stood up and left.
I walked to the chair where he sat and I just started crying. The tears couldn't stop spilling out. I wasn't crying just because of Jake, but I was also crying, because I was causing everyone so much pain. I sat on the chair and stared at my body. "Why won't you wake up?" I whispered.
The doctor came in and checked up on me and left. I just sat in that chair for hours and hours staring at my body and thinking about Jake. The words: "I really like you" was drifting through my mind. My face was red from all the crying.
