Plans Series #1: Rei Miyamoto

Alright guys, before I release Chapter 2 there's something that I need to tell you regarding Rei.

In the canon, Rei and Takashi were childhood friends who became a couple until Rei broke up with him and started dating Takashi's best friend, Hisashi Igou. After Hisashi died, Rei and Takashi had a bit of a mix between romance/conflict which was resolved right before the end of Season 1.

As much as I like, Highschool of the Dead. I have got to say this...

I'm not a Rei hater. But I'm not a fan of her character as I am for the rest. It's never been given, the reason why Rei really broke up with Takashi. But I don't like how she went and dated the best friend of her ex... and talked about him even after he died.

Now, do I hate Hisashi... no. Because let's be real. The guy only lasted one episode and it seemed like he was just Rei's rebound guy.

As for what I have planned...

Rei and Takashi do break up. But it's on much better terms. He's still gonna be upset, but... it's nothing too crazy.

And instead of Rei going for Hisashi, she mainly keeps to herself as she does have a few regrets ever since the break up. (Including what happened with Shido and her father.)

So during the apocalypse, their relationship gets repaired and the two of them will get back together later on. Instead of a love triangle between three friends, it's a damaged relationship being fixed overtime.

And as a bonus...

Hisashi doesn't have to die for them to get back together.

And another bonus...

Makes it much easier for Kagari x Saeko do be a thing.
