The End of Days (Kagari x H.O.T.D)

Plans Series #2: Hisashi Igou

Alright guys, Chapter 3 should be out tomorrow. I'm just gonna do a few more chapters on here before I head back to Fairy Tail for The Oracion Seis Arc.

Now then, as for my plans regarding Hisashi Igou.

I've you've watched the anime or read the manga, you should know who Hisashi is. The MC's best friend, Rei's rebound guy, and the guy who got bit and died in the very first episode of the anime and the first chapter of the manga.

Me personally, I don't hate his character. But I don't know why he thought it would be okay to date Rei, who was literally the ex girlfriend of his best friend in the canon storyline.

Probably to make Takashi a relatable character...

(Because I personally believe that dating the best friend of your ex is a really dick move unless the ex totally deserved it.)

With that aside, after rewatching the show, I believe that Hisashi's character was completely wasted. (And some of you agree with me.) Not only did he make the dumb choice to fight zombies with his bare hands, he literally watched Rei get slapped by Takashi and did nothing about it.

He wasn't very interesting in the main plot outside of being a mention in the relationship plotline whenever conflict was made between Takashi and Rei after he died. (When either of the two mentioned him.)

In the manga, once we got to the Takagi Estate, he was basically an afterthought.

Here's my Version...

In my version, Hisashi and Rei are not dating in the story at all. And as for almost being bitten, he was close but he got saved by Takashi before they met up with Kagari on the roof.

So, I plan to have Hisashi actually escape the school with everyone and have him join the main cast. (He'd be a good addition.)

Now as for later on, I want Hisashi to have his moments with both Kagari and Takashi because in my previous book, I made the dumb choice of having Kagari kill off Hisashi, and take the role of Rei's love interest.

(Yeah, I'm not going to do that again. Looking back, it wasn't a very smart move on a writing standpoint to have Rei date 3 of her childhood friends. I didn't have a good understanding of Rei's character at that time when I wrote the book but now I do.)

Perhaps, I'll give Hisashi a love interest as well so he can have a romance plot of his own since I already have...

(Remember guys, they're going to work on repairing their relationship with each other in this book.)

Kohta x Asami

(Asami deserved better.)

I'd like to hear who you think would be a good love interest for Hisashi. (But I'd prefer it if they were in the same verse as him though.)
