Why I made Avona

Sorry if this seems annoying.

I know many of you may not have wondered this but I wanted to tell this story to show you all what made Avona work for me as an author.

A year ago I became a fanfic writer as a new hobby and I started with crossovers.

These did work but I felt in my gut that they could've been something more but I couldn't tell what so I left it at that and kept making them.

Overtime I began to read OC Fanfics form
Numerous other creators and based off of hundreds of series.

However the ones that always caught my eye were the ones that changed little but the OC was an impactful character still.

It was then I realized that's what I wanted to make but there was one problem I had no idea how to make a good OC.

So I kept reading and planning what would I do, I knew the series would be clone wars since it's one of my favorite shows but to me I didn't want to do two things with this OC.

1. They weren't going to be a Jedi character because I had issues with the characters in that order except a few so I don't want to write that since I knew I'd probably get annoyed with the annoying characters.

2. The sith while there are many great sith related fanfics I didn't want my character becoming evil in any way and took delight in suffering and torture.

But then after reading the Fanfic Glory to the Confederacy I was inspired by the idea of the CIS and making a character who wasn't a force wielder but had power in terms of intelligence and business but still had a moral compass .

So I dug deeper learning as much about the CIS as I could and after researching and watching some what ifs and the series itself and with encouragement I decided to give it a try.

Avona was born in March of 2024 and I was expecting something like only 5K views since that's what most of my other stories had,

But no as the story went on I saw the love and support this story got and I was determined to make it as great as I could.

Now avona stands at 39K views with 1.2k votes and two new books staring her which is nuts I can't tell you guys how grateful I am.

If I may offer one piece of advice to you all. Never give up especially on your creations or achievements cause they are special to us and so long as we care anything can become amazing and special.
