An Army of Vampires?

Peyton's POV

It's been two and half weeks since William returned to La Push & joined the pack. We spend a lot of time together. Before you ask, yes we have kissed. A lot. But nothing else, yet. I want to wait and he respects my wishes. Which is to wait until marriage or I am ready. I mean we only officially became a couple two weeks ago and I don't wan everyone to think we're moving to fast. Besides there is still so much I don't know about him.

No one else has joined the pack. So we've been able to focus on training William, Collin and Brady. William got his pack tattoo. But Collin and Brady are to young to get them without their parents consent. And as their parents don't believe in the legends or are in on the secret. They'd have wait until they are eighteen.

There have been no more signs of Victoria in the area. But there was a new vampire. No idea who he or she is. But they were in Bella's house and some of her possessions are missing. So Jacob went and memorized the scent. Now the pack is helping take turns guarding Bella. Well the pack that the Cullens know. Sam doesn't want them to know our true number. Because even with the treaty he still doesn't fully trust them. None of us do. So far no sign of the intruder either. Honestly it all seems like to much of a coincidence. Why would this stranger steal Bella's scent? Where's Victoria been hiding? All the death happening in Seattle, what if it's all connected some how?

"You're doing it again" William tells me as he hugs me close. We're currently on a date over looking the beach. A drift wood fire going. Jacob, Embry and Quil are at the Cullens house. They are having a party celebrating graduation. I had gone to the graduation ceremony at Forks HIgh School, as Bella is my cousin. I can't wait to graduate next year.

"Sorry, I just can't help it. I feel like this is all connected somehow, but there's a piece missing" I tell him. "I mean, we know Victoria is after Bella. Because Edward killed her mate James. But why did the stranger steal some of Bella's clothes?" I ask him.

"Maybe they had none" he offers.

"No, I think it's more then that" I tell him. "What if the intruder knows Victoria?" I ask him.

"But Victoria already knows Bella scent, so she wouldn't need it" he reminds me. I groan resting my head on his shoulder. He rubs my arm soothingly. "I'm sure you'll figure it out" he assures me. "But we are supposed to be on a date" he reminds me.

"I know, I'm sorry" I say as I look up at him. He just smiles and kisses my nose. "So how is it being back in La Push?" I ask him.

"It's different" he admits. "A good kind of different, though I never thought I'd find someone so beautiful meant for me" he states and I blush. "Have you ever dated before?" he asks me.

"Nope, you?" I ask him curious.

"I admit, I did in high school. But we broke up senior year and went our separate ways" he tells me.

"Did you ever?" I ask.

"I won't lie, we did once. But it wasn't really good, it didn't feel right" he tells me. "I guess because she wasn't the one" he states. Suddenly we hear a howl and he groans. "What now?" he asks me.

"No idea, lets go find out" I tell him. I go behind a tree and stripe before phasing. I meet up with William and we race to the meeting spot. As we do we hear about a vampire army.

"What damn vampire army?" William demands as we join the pack.

"Newborn vampires, they'll be here in four days" Embry explains.

"Jacob said they pack would help" Quil adds.

"They're after Bella" Jacob snarls.

"Even if that weren't the case, we'd still fight to protect the tribe and our land" Sam declares. "We're meeting with the Cullens later for training. Apparently newborn vampires are different from others. The one known as Jasper has experience with them and is willing to share his knowledge. It will be good to learn how to fight and kill newborns" he states.

"Will we all go to the training?" I ask him.

"Yes" he says. "But in wolf form" he states. "I suggest you all get some rest, we're meeting the Cullens in a clearing on neutral ground at 3 am" he tell us. "Paul, Jared you both are on patrol tonight with William. Be sure to get some sleep before the meeting" he tells them. They all nod their heads and I nuzzle William affectionately before he left with the other two.

The pack slowly parts ways. "Peyton, I want you to go look after Bella tonight" Sam tells me.

"Why?" I ask him. "Is it not the Cullens turn?" I ask.

"Yes, but she is your cousin and with this new threat. I'd feel better if one of the pack was there tonight" he states.

"Very well Sam" I say and leave. I go to Emily's and pack a bag. Before running to Uncle Charlie's house. He was surprised to see me, but welcomed be with open arms. Saying he'd be happy for me to spend the night. Bella was upstairs with Edward. So I decided to spend some time with my uncle, catching up with him. Until he went to bed and I made myself comfortable on the couch.
