Jimin

Jimin waited.

With his Canon camera on the ready for vlogging, Jimin bounced his leg up and down while waiting for Y/n to arrive. She was getting dropped off by Seulgi near the front, and Jimin agreed to meet her in the center so it was easier for both of them. Y/n had never been to The Grove, unlike Jimin. Jimin was a regular there. What could he say, the place had Dior products, so that meant he had to go there every other week. It was a luxury shopping outlet, and he had plans to vlog the entire process and buy Y/n whatever she desired.

Maybe that made him a simp, but he couldn't bring himself to care anymore. If Charlie and the others made fun of him, he'd chuckle too. It was silly, wasn't it? Jimin was so smitten for Y/n that he stopped caring about being called a simp. That was the ultimate sign that he was falling for her, and he didn't mind being reminded of that. It was a reminder that he had someone who cared about him the same way he cared about her.

Two minutes later, he felt a tap on his shoulder, and yes, it was Y/n. He greeted her with a quick hug that wasn't as bone-crushing as the one he had given her at VidCon. She grinned and motioned to the camera he held.

"We starting right away?"

"No, I want to walk around with you for a bit, is that okay?" he asked with puppy eyes, and she giggled and agreed. He took a risk and held her hand, and she allowed it. She even leaned into it.

The Grove had elegant people strolling the sidewalks. Unlike many parts of Los Angeles, the sidewalks were smooth and lacked cracks. There was some chalk art here and there, mostly depicting animals and the planet. The grass was greener than anything Jimin had seen before, same with the trees surrounding the place, and all the buildings were freshly painted with no chips or scratches. Jimin lost count of how many stores were there, but he knew there was at least a Dior and Under Armor. Both of them were perfect for him.

However, that wasn't on his mind. He was holding her hand.

Before marriage.

He felt sweat stick to the back of his neck, and he couldn't tell if that was due to the oppressive California heat or his nerves. He opted to go with both and clear his throat so he could talk to the beautiful woman skipping down The Grove's streets with him.

"You come here often?"

She glanced up at him. "This is my first time here."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

She laughed, and he couldn't help but join in. The feeling of her hand in his had him swooning, and he leaned into the touch and wished he could cherish it forever.

"Don't worry, we'll find something to talk about. You never shut up," Y/n said, and Jimin pouted at that. She poked his cheek. "I mean it as a compliment. There's never a dull moment with you, is there?"

"No, I guess not. My brother thinks the same."

"Brother? You never talk about your family."

"Not much to talk about. My mom, dad, and brother all live in Oregon right now, so I don't see them much, but we have a great relationship."

"Really?" she asked as she pulled them toward the Dior store. Ah, that was how he knew she was the one for him. "No tragic backstory?"

"Woah, let's not push it, I still grew up in California."

She laughed again, entering the store and letting the air conditioning bless them. Dior welcomed him, and he resisted the urge to bounce around. Instead, he began the vlog and did his introduction before introducing Y/n as well. As soon as the beginning part was finished, they trotted around the store. For sake of the video and not wanting to start rumors, they stopped holding hands, and Jimin hated being away from her. Again, he didn't care that it made him a simp.

"Y/n is picking out a cute handbag," Jimin said to the camera, filming her from a decent distance away. She was too far to hear him, even in the otherwise quiet store. "Shh, don't tell anyone, but I'm gonna buy it for her. She doesn't know that yet."

He giggled and filmed her the entire time, never once turning the camera around on himself. An eye smile graced his face, and he had a feeling it wouldn't go away the entire time. She was perfect for the camera. Countless viewers would get captivated by her the same way Jimin did, and he huffed at the thought of other people looking at her, but he realized how weird that was and brushed it off to instead focus on the moment.

"What are you getting?" he asked at a volume loud enough for her to hear.

She perked her head up with a small smile, holding up the bag that had rainbow colors. "Closest thing to a unicorn I could find."

Huh. He was surprised Dior had rainbow products, but he wouldn't complain. He went over and snatched it from her while holding the camera at a respectable distance away.

"My treat," he said, and she quirked a brow.

"The Park Jimin is paying for me? I must be dreaming. Since when are you a gentleman?"

"Since I met you, of course." He did a small, overdramatic bow before going to the register and paying for the purse, documenting the entire process and wishing he could stamp it to his brain until the end of time.

Once they finished in Dior, they departed and went back to The Grove, and Jimin recorded the pretty capitalist landscape. Y/n scanned her eyes over it with her lips parted and her brows raised. After a beat, she smiled.

"It's not bad here. A little too rich for my liking, but not bad."

"Now, now, Miss L/n," Jimin said in a drawl, waving the Dior bag back and forth. "Who's the one who just got a Dior product?"

"And who's the one who bought it for me?"

Okay, he couldn't argue with that. He had been the one to bring her there and indulge her desires, so that was on him. Still, he nudged her and chuckled, and she did the same. The Grove awaited them, as did his wonderful vlog of them together. It was the collab of the century, and through all that, he couldn't believe he was seeing her in-person again. It was like a dream.

A dream he never wanted to wake up from.
