Y/n
If there was one thing Y/n loved more than giant chocolate cakes, it was stuffed animals.
With a giggle and a grin, she dove into her bed of plushies and let them engulf her. The soft fabric touched her soul with more light than any star could. That included Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. A blue star. A blue star with-
Oh good lord. She needed to shut up before Seulgi called her a nerd again.
Y/n groaned and rose from her fluffy paradise, glancing at Seulgi, who sat in the corner on a beanbag with a quirked brow and a Cheez-It between her long fingers with floral acrylic nails.
"Oh," she said, plopping the snack in her mouth. Between chews, she continued with, "Let me guess: You thought something nerdy again."
Y/n tossed her favorite teddy bear at Seulgi. "Shut up."
"Bottom."
Y/n winked. "For you."
Seulgi choked on her Cheez-It, and Y/n laughed at her expense before hopping off her queen-sized bed and frolicking her way to her PC. Unlike the other streamers in her friend group, Y/n had her build in her bedroom. No soundproofing, no LED lights, no sign with her name on it—just a girl and her plushies. Oh, and her cringey cat-eared headphones.
"Are you gonna sit in the corner and be my moral support again?" Y/n asked, and Seulgi nodded as she buried her hands in the Cheez-It box she had raided from Y/n's pantry downstairs.
In the distance, she could hear her dad laughing, likely over a fumble in a football match he was obsessed with watching. She didn't care much for American football, though she had to admit their thighs were impressive.
Y/n didn't mind the loud noises from outside her room. Her viewers didn't mind either. If anything, that made it feel more relatable and relaxing. Over the years, Y/n heard stories from her fans about how they fell asleep while watching her content. That was her goal: lo-fi content for studying, fun, and sleeping. Nothing too thought-provoking, but entertaining gameplay, story time videos, and interior design nerd-out sessions were her personal favorites.
Her phone went off again under her monitor, but she ignored it to boot up her computer. It took a few shakes and creative curses to get it to work. When she finished, she checked her device to see Mark had texted her over and over, wondering if she wanted to come meet the new guy.
For two years, Y/n had been part of Markiplier's friend group as a small streamer and YouTuber. "Small" was relative considering she had millions of subscribers, but compared to all the others, she was one of the smallest. If all went well, the new guy would join them.
"Is that Mark?" Seulgi asked in between Cheez-Its. Y/n didn't need to answer. "Tell him I said hi."
"Gentle reminder that he's been dating Amy for like ever."
Seulgi glared, and Y/n threw up one hand in defeat before telling Mark she'd be there in a few minutes if her computer ever cooperated.
Although she was one of the smaller channels in the friend group, everyone knew her and babied her. She didn't know why. More often than not, she barked at them for daring to baby her. Maybe that was why: they liked seeing her annoyed. They treated her like a celebrity among them just to see her reactions.
"Sit in the corner and don't do anything crazy, okay?" Y/n said, and Seulgi was too busy with her millionth Cheez-It to respond. Y/n took that as a sign to hop onto Discord and saw the group in the call. All of them she recognized. Well, all of them except one: Dior's Fat-Assed Prince. The stranger had a golden retriever as their profile picture.
