Jimin

Holy McMoly on a McDonald's McChicken.

No. Fucking. Way.

Jimin paced back and forth in his room, biting on his nails while his dogs sat in the corner, panting. They were mouth breathers with dripping tongues. Saliva painted the floor, but Jimin ignored it to instead continue his pacing spree as he attempted to comprehend what the actual frick frack had happened the previous night.

Yeah—despite it being almost twenty-four hours since his night with Y/n, he still wasn't over it. He had spent every hour since then tossing and turning while contemplating his life decisions, but in a good way. He knew he adored her, and her presence had his heart galloping and his body humming with warmth. Yet he had worries. Too many to count.

That led him to Charlie.

Three minutes ago, Charlie agreed to hop on Discord to talk to Jimin and give advice. As much as Jimin made "jokes" (were they jokes, though?) about loving Charlie a little too much, he had to admit the man provided comfort and genuine advice. Beyond the sex jokes and silly content Charlie made, he was a good man with strong advice, and that was what Jimin needed.

So, he stopped pacing so he could plop down in front of his computer, flipping it on and booting up Discord as soon as he could. Headphones covered his head, and he glanced at his adorable doggos before turning his attention back to the screen. Charlie got online at the same time. Ah, it was fate. They were soulmates.

Jimin ran to his private messages with Charlie, his mouse hovering over the voice call option. Charlie gave him the green light to call whenever he was ready, yet Jimin hesitated. Not because he didn't want to, but because he wanted to spend a few more moments thinking about Y/n and what they had gone through last night, and that was when Jimin realized it.

He was a fucking simp.

That word didn't feel the same as it had in the past, and he wasn't sure how to react to that. It felt... normal? Jimin knew simp wasn't inherently negative, and in a way, it was almost flattering. It was just that he was scared that everyone would get so caught up in teasing him that they wouldn't see how much of a struggle relationships could be to him. But not Charlie. Charlie understood, and he appreciated that.

The call occurred, and Charlie's monotone voice greeted him. It was interesting how Charlie had the same voice no matter if he was excited, scared, sad, or anything else, but somehow, Jimin knew based on the way Charlie pronounced hey that Charlie was in friendly Charles behavior that day.

"I kissed Y/n," Jimin said. Instead of a hi, how are you?, Jimin decided to lead with that. It was direct, to the point, and gave Charlie something to work with. However, Jimin bit on his nails when Charlie didn't answer for a long beat.

"Did she kiss back?"

That... wasn't the question he was expecting, but he couldn't blame Charlie for taking it that way. After all, why would a kiss with your crush be a bad thing, unless they had bad breath and used too much tongue? Jimin was reacting as if he had opened the gates of Hell by kissing Y/n, so he couldn't fault Charlie for his confusion.

"Yeah, she did. The kiss itself isn't the problem, it's me. I'm scared, Charlie. I haven't fallen for anyone in a long time, and the last few girlfriends I had didn't treat me well. One even broke my glasses and called me rude things when I didn't do anything wrong... I think. Am I moving too fast? I mean, we haven't officially labeled ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend, but I kissed her. That's way too fast, isn't it?"

Charlie chuckled, but it wasn't to make fun of Jimin. Jimin could tell it was more out of amusement for the whole situation. If anything, the sound was endearing.

"Jimin, let me ask you something: what do you want?"

That was the one thing Jimin hadn't asked himself. What did he want? Well, it went without saying that he wanted Y/n to be his girlfriend, but beyond that, what else did he want? He didn't know if he could answer that.

"No one's judging you," Charlie said, and Jimin let out a breath at that. "I played around with dildos for like four videos in a row, I'm in no position to judge anyone. But the point is, life is like that wet fart you don't want to let out in the shower, but it comes out anyway. Sometimes you can't hold it in, and you might feel better after letting it out."

Why did that make a surprising amount of sense? Jimin was so focused on holding his emotions in that he hadn't thought about what would happen if he let them go. What if he showed more love and affection for Y/n? He wouldn't know unless he tried, and if that was what he wanted, he needed to fight for it. If she was the one for him, she'd understand his emotions and click with him, right?

"Jimin, she likes you," Charlie continued, and Jimin hummed. "It's okay to experiment a bit. Don't be scared to. Everyone's in your corner and wants to see you two succeed like Mark and Amy, okay?"

Hearing Charlie get all sweet and soft on him was not on his 2024 bingo card, yet there he was, listening to Charlie's delicate voice. Despite how he had thought earlier that Charlie didn't change his voice no matter what, Jimin noticed it now. That conversation had changed his point of view on more than one thing, and with Charlie's advice in mind, he had a woman to win over.

"Yeah, yeah, you're right. Thanks, Charlie. Sorry for being such a bother this late."

"You're a cocksucker. I do anything for my cocksuckers."

"I... thanks? I think? I'm gonna go to bed now. Goodnight."

"Night."

The call ended, leaving Jimin in silence. He shut off his PC to put himself in darkness, too. He tapped his fingers on his knee and glanced at the ceiling, but it didn't give him any answers, not that he needed them. Charlie had helped him reach the conclusion he had been searching for all along. He wanted Y/n.

Now he just had to prove he was worthy of her.
