Jimin
Dior Dior Dior Dior Dior Dior Dior.
How did Jimin react to any of that information? He was a Dior ambassador, after all that time of wanting to be involved in the company. The fact that they offered him an official, paid spot even though he was a multi-millionaire promoting their work for free was astounding, but that only grew his respect for the company. Dior had incredible fashion, especially for women, and he wanted to see what his future girlfriend would look like wearing it. However, she didn't prefer fancy clothes, and he respected that. He just loved the idea of sharing his Dior passion. He didn't even know why he liked Dior so much, but he did, and as he stood in the black suit Dior had tailored for him, he couldn't help but giggle and bounce in his heeled dress shoes.
Kim flew in from Canada to see him in-person, and the blonde woman was by his side. She had a purple streak that disrupted the otherwise normal locks she had. However, she made it work. Her thick-framed, black glasses contrasted the purple in a way that made her pale eyes stand out. They were as pale as her skin, the only difference being the irises had cyan hues in them.
The Dior manager Jimin was working with, Stephen, looked like Kim's brother despite that not being the case. He too had pale skin and blonde hair, only his wasn't in a bun like hers. It was slicked back to make way for his sharp jaw and cheekbones.
"All you have to do is mingle and show your face. This is the first event just to announce you as our new ambassador, but otherwise, you don't have to do much," Stephen explained. He talked in rich. By that Jimin meant the man had a voice that never cracked and was four octaves lower than his own.
"Got it." Jimin dipped his head and glanced down at his appearance one more time. He wore nothing under his blazer, so his collarbone was visible as the pitch black suit covered him. The trousers matched the rest of his attire, and he appreciated it. The last thing he needed was to wear something super elaborate for his first public appearance. Him being there would draw enough attention. They could save the fancy smancy stuff for later.
He stepped out from behind the curtains and found himself staring at a large crowd at a party. Yeah, it was the stereotypical rich party you'd see in Hollywood movies. There were waiters rushing around and bringing food and drinks more expensive than Jimin could imagine (and he was a multi-millionaire with a multi-million contract dollar with Dior). Classical music filled the giant ballroom, but elegant chatter filled it more. If he had a dollar for every rich man laugh he heard, he could buy all of Dior.
Alright, all he had to do was look pretty, smile, and wave. So, that was what he did. He strolled between the various ambassadors and higher-ups who couldn't stop themselves from touching his sleeves. They were soft, after all. Dior fabric had a way of making everyone happy, Jimin included. Although it was a basic suit and nothing fancy yet, it felt like the best thing he had ever worn, and he never wanted to take it off. He wrapped his arms around himself as he walked, hugging the beautiful suit.
The entire event was fast for him. Staff gawked over him, congratulated him for being hot, and asked to take pictures with him, to which he obliged. At least that was one thing he was used to. The rest? Not so much, but he adjusted. He was Park Jimin. He could do anything. Right?
Kim called him back after an hour of mingling and drinking champagne, and when he returned to the back room, he spotted Y/n there. He ran to her and hugged her, his eyes wide as he held the beautiful girl in his arms and ignored Kim and the rest of the Dior staff (of which there were three tailors and Stephen).
"Princess, what the hell are you doing here? I'm not complaining, but... what?"
"You don't want my support, is that it?" she asked in a chuckle as she pulled away. "You told me you were nervous, so here I am."
Ah, that was right. The previous night, he had texted her about how nervous he was for the Dior event. Even as he stood there in that moment, after mingling and getting a taste of Dior, he trembled. His lower lip quivered as he parted it to reply.
"I was, but not anymore."
"Now that I'm here?"
He grinned. "Something like that."
The truth was, he had mixed feelings about it. On one hand, being Dior's ambassador was awesome. On the other, he didn't want to mess up, like most things in life. Like with Y/n. Everything he did throughout high school felt like one big screw up, and his YouTube channel was his main outlet away from the mistakes. It was the one thing he was good at, other than being hot. Would Dior recognize that? Would they say he did well?
"Good," she said, bringing him out of his thoughts as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Wouldn't want you thinking you aren't doing a good job."
When his face faltered, she sighed and shook her head.
"Park Jimin." She came a bit closer as she spoke, dropping her voice to a whisper only he could hear, not the others who chit-chatted in the corner. "You're going to kick ass. No one loves Dior more than you, not even the CEO. You're the most passionate, hard-working person I know, and that means you're going to do amazing with this position. And, hey, if it doesn't work out, look on the bright side: it made you a shit ton of money, right?"
"Okay, okay, I'm starting to like the sound of this," he said with a whistle before kissing her forehead. "Thank you, really. I think I needed to hear that."
"No shit. You're shaking in your boots."
He couldn't help but smile until it crinkled his eyes. With Y/n by his side, he knew he could do anything. She didn't give herself enough credit for her charm. Although she had moments where she was lowkey and shy, he adored it when she got bold and sassy, like she was in that moment. He could get used to hearing that snarky voice every single day-
Oh.
Holy sugar, Jimin was so in love.
