Jimin

Nervous was an understatement.

Taking Y/n to dinner was a last-minute panic decision. He could have chosen a more casual hang out, like an arcade, but he chose a fancy Italian restaurant with fake vines hanging from the ceiling matched with chandeliers that were set to stay dim throughout the entire experience.

AKA: It was a romantic restaurant.

The booth Jimin had gotten for them had curtains and everything. He had them parted so Y/n could see him once she walked in, but that didn't change that once she sat down, the waiter would close it and leave them with complete privacy. Just Y/n and Jimin in a small space with romantic candlelight and vines hanging from the walls. Why were there vines everywhere? Weirdos.

Jimin didn't voice his thoughts and instead bounced his leg as he adjusted his button-down white shirt that had the sleeves rolled up. Despite being night, it was California, and the air conditioning only did so much. Or maybe it was just his nerves impacting him.

Sweat danced on the back of his neck behind his long locks, and he rubbed it before realizing how gross that was and wiping it on the booth seat in the corner, hoping he wouldn't slide over there by accident. He cleared his throat and glanced at the menu. It was a set course meal, which typically showed that it was expensive. Four courses, every one looking better than the last, but he was most excited for the second course, which was duck with a garnish he didn't bother trying to pronounce.

A minute later, he noticed one of the two glass double doors opening, and he glanced up and saw the beautiful Y/n walk in with a blouse and dress pants, her makeup light but noticeable, even from his distance from her. He had to mentally slap himself to get him to focus on something other than her gorgeous appearance, and he waved her over.

She nodded and spoke with the hostess before rushing over to Jimin and sitting opposite of him. She didn't bother closing the curtains, so neither did he. Besides, he was too occupied staring at her beauty to so much as think of that. Why would he hide her from the rest of the restaurant? If anything, he wanted to walk around with her and show all the tables that he had the privilege of calling her his date, and soon-to-be girlfriend, assuming the night went well.

"Hey," she said, and the one word had him swooning already.

"Hey." He swallowed and leaned back in his seat, pulling at his collar. "You look nice."

"Nice? Just nice? Okay, wow, I'm leaving-"

"No, no." He snatched her hand before she could go, dragging her back into her seat and snickering. She did the same, and her amused smirk had his heart prancing around inside his chest. "You look like my future wife. There, is that better?"

It was her turn to swallow and become a nervous wreck. She fiddled with her fingers and hung her head to avoid eye contact, and he reached across the table to gently grab her chin and tilt it back up so he could gaze at her. As much as Jimin was a shy bitch most of the time, he had his moments of boldness, and when he had the most beautiful woman in the world across from him, he had to take advantage of his opportunity to impress her.

"Don't run from me. Let me see those pretty eyes," he whispered, and said eyes widened as they locked onto Jimin's. "That's it. Good girl."

"Park Jimin!"

"Ah, good, you know my surname. Get used to it."

He leaned back again, letting his hand fall under the table while he crossed his legs over one another. He took a sip from his glass of water the waiter had brought over for the two guests when Jimin had first sat down. It was iced water, something he learned to appreciate more and more as time went on. Nothing beat a cold water after a long day.

"I came here to have a nice dinner, but here you are flirting," she said with a huff, narrowing her eyes and slanting her eyebrows downward. He wished he could take a picture of her adorable little face.

"Are you complaining, Miss L/n?"

"Well... maybe not, but still!"

She crossed her arms over her chest, and Jimin hummed in acknowledge, glancing over her appearance and loving the way her body rested against the booth. All that was missing was the smile, although Jimin knew that was his fault, seeing as he was teasing her more than he had ever teased anyone.

And that was saying something.

"You're funny," he said, and she snorted as she looked through the pre-planned meal they were getting.

"I'd hope so. Why else would you want to take me to dinner?"

"Because it's inappropriate to take you to bed before going to dinner. How does that line go? 'At least take me to dinner first,' right?"

He batted his eyelashes at her, and she froze with bulging eyes and a slacked jaw. She met his gaze, and he swore she was going to murder him for making an innuendo joke, but much to his amazement, she burst out laughing, slapping the table with one of her hands while the other dropped the menu and went to hold her hiccupping stomach.

The laugh looked incredible on her. Anything did, but that most of all. All that was missing was him holding her hand as she did it so he could feel each squeak and vibration-

Okay, Jimin, too far.

He laughed with her, and also at his own thoughts. Soon enough, they dialed down, and Y/n hummed before shaking her head at him.

"Well, if you keep charming me like that, maybe you won't have to wait until the third date," she said, and he chuckled.

"The Grove was our first date, and this is our second, so if I'm doing the math right..."

She smirked without replying, taking a sip from her water and eyeing him the entire time. Great, there was a chance he was getting pussy. The odds were, he'd be too shy to ever do that so soon, especially not without a label over them, but it had him giggling like a high schooler anyway. So that meant his time out with Y/n consisted of sex jokes, laughter, and more food than they knew what to do with.

What a night, huh?
