Abigail put up new decorations on the walls of her living room in her apartment. The walls have been bare since April moved out,and Abigail couldn't stand the bare white walls.
She smiled as she hung a brown cross above the couch. She made sure it was centered before nodding in approval and grabbing her messenger bag and leaving her apartment.
She walked into the hospital and quickly walked into the locker room to change into her scrubs.
She went looking for Lexie,but she found George. "Do you know where Lexie is?" Abigail asked. "I was looking for her too." George said.
Abigail clicked her tongue as she opened a door to the supply closet,where Lexie was.i hate this contest." George said as he and Abigail walked into the closet.
"There's a lot of stuff in here. There's a lot of stuff." Lexie said. "Stupid,stupid contest—stupid and irresponsible. Oh! I wanna play." George ranted.
"There's good stuff,free stuff." Lexie said as Izzie walked into the supply closet. "I need a butterfly needle,a vacutatiner,and,uh,maybe an L.P. kit. I'm 26 points behind so I need it fast." Izzie said.
"Why,what do you got? Something good?" Lexie asked as she got the supplies for Izzie. "Oh. Uh,sprained ankle." Izzie said.
George chuckled. "You get 26 points for a sprained ankle?" He asked,making Abigail chuckled quietly. "Last time Callie's treated what we thought was a sprained ankle,it turned out the patient was malnourished,had a perforated ulcer and died on the table." Izzie smiled.
"Thats the best case scenario. Yeah." George nodded. "Well,not the death part,George. The medical mystery part. It's 80 points for solving a medical mystery. It's the holy grail of the competition." Izzie said excitedly.
"Oh,yeah. Well,sometimes an ankle's just an ankle,though." George said,hitting two rolls of gauze together. Izzie's smile faded as she took a step closer to George.
"Syncope,a very strange rash,pale,insidious onset in a guy who travels a lot. This is not just an ankle." Izzie said,turning around when Lexie brought her the stuff she asked for. "Oh,thanks." Izzie said before leaving.
Abigail picked up some random medical supply,looking at it before putting it back. "Oh,I could do a lot with these." Lexie said,holding a an underpad.
"That's an underpad." George mentioned. "Underpads soak up urine."
"Or..it could be a place mat." Lexie said. George gave her a weird look before leaving the closet. Abigail raised an eyebrow at her friend before leaving the supply closet as well.
