"Kageyama! Over here!" The ginger-haired boy yelled behind him. The boy jumped up and spiked the ball down. "YES!" He exclaimed, showing his proudness of the try he got. The team was practicing for competitions. No-one knew Hinata rolled his ankle when he landed from spiking the volleyball. As the team walked over to catch a break, Kageyama noticed the ginger. "Hinata. Are you limping?" He asked, grabbing the attention of the nearby players. "Eh? I'm not limping, what do you mean Kageyama? I don't know what you're talking about.." Hinata said, smiling. "Run a lap.""What?" The ginger head asked confused. "You heard me. I said run a lap. Now." Kageyama said forcefully, as the team looked over. "Uhm. Fine, I will!" Hinata exclaimed, trying to prove he was fine. He ran to the net, forcing a smile hiding away the pain in his ankle. "Great, now run back." Hinata glanced at Kageyama and back. He stood for a moment, until he finally ran back. The ginger-haired boy almost tripped due to his ankle, but made it to the end of the court. "See! What did I tell ya? I'm fine." Hinata proved. "Hinata. You know if you hurt yourself..you can tell us right?" Sugawara explained. "Yeah! We're a team. You can tell us anything!" Tanaka added on. Kageyama looked at Hinata's ankle, seeing he was holding onto it. "You're not sneaky, Hinata. I can literally see you holding onto your ankle. You hurt your ankle didn't you?" Kageyama sighed. "You should get that checked out now Hinata. It could be serious." Sugawara blurted out. "Ughh..fine. I will..I guess." Hinata sadly groaned. "Great! I will tell Coach Ukai!" Sugawara exclaimed running to Ukai. Hinata rolled his eyes.
"Alright. You ready to go?" Coach Ukai asked. "Yes, I am." Hinata replied, still mad at the fact he had to leave volleyball practice early due to some "sTupiD aNklE iNjuRy" that was said to be "sEriOus". It wasn't until 15 minutes, that they finally was able to get the "ankle injury" checked out. "Hmm. Well, you're lucky it is not that bad of a twisted ankle. Just a sprain. However, you just need to take a few weeks off from your volleyball practice. Try not to walk alot. Walking will agitate the sprain." The doctor explained. "Oh alright. You heard that Hinata? No running, salking, skipping, moonwalking whatever you kids do." The coach stated. "Yeah. I've got it Coach." Hinata said, forcing a smile yet again. He didn't actually want to agree. Instead he wanted to say. "No. I won't listen to you. I'm going to play volleyball WITH my ankle because I am no scaredy-cat." But in reality, Hinata knew he would have to pay the consequences if he actually said that. "Okay. Let's get going." Ukai rambled on. "Wait. I have a question. Am I still allowed to attend practice to spectate?" Hinata blurted out. "Well. You can ask your coach about that." The doctor smiled, gazing upon the serious man. "I will allow you to attend trainings to SPECTATE. Not play." Hinata's eyes sparked.
When Ukai and Hinata arrived back to the court, they were bombarded with questions, concerns and worries. Well. Mainly for Hinata of course. "Hinata! Are you okay?!" this. "Hinata! How was it?" that. Hinata was just getting asked so many questions at once, which actually didn't bother him. It made him appreciate his caring team more and more by the second. He was just thinking how'd he get so lucky with a team like this. "Well. Luckily it was just a small ankle sprain, so I am fine. But I can't play volleyball in quite a while.." The ginger explained, mumbling the last part. "It's fine, Hinata! Atleast you didn't get seriously hurt!" Tanaka said, trying to lighten up the mood. The rest of the team agreed. Hinata looked at the team with a smile (an actual one this time). Hold on. Where was Kageyama? "Hey, where's Kageyama?" Faces turned to look around, realising what Hinata said. "Oh, he's probably at the corner store getting something to eat or whatever he is doing." Nishinnoya shrugged off. "ALRIGHTT! You guys can head home now. It's getting a bit late."
Everyone said their goodbyes and get well soons to Hinata. The ginger-boy collected his stuff and headed out the door when he stumbled across a tall black-haired boy. "Oh! Hi Kageyama. I got your stuff for you!" Hinata blurted, as he gave the black-haired boy's things to him. "Bye Kageyama!" Hinata waved. "Wait. Uhm. Here." Kageyama said, shoving a treat into Hinata. "Eh..? F-for me?" Hinata stuttered. He never got a gift from Kageyama. "T-thank you, Kageyama." Hinata lightly blushed when he said that. Kageyama just nodded, but in reality he was having a meltdown.
