A. I'll go with Molly. Oreo, you'll go with Rex.

Oreo seemed pretty surprised with Abis decision. “Oh, alright…” But he didn't mind, mostly anyways.

If there was anything Abi had to worry about, it was Molly, but all she gave her was a silent shrug. Oh wow, looks like she really was owning up to that apology. Huh..

Rex couldn't care less either, even if he was being paired with someone like Oreo.

And so, with one quick: “Make sure to text us when you get back.” From Rex. The girls were off.

Needless to say, their trip wasn't very eventful. Molly mostly stayed quiet aside from a few awkward things here and there, she didn't want to talk much anyways.

And they avoided confrontation as much as they could, even with how “agile” Abi was and how actually athletic Molly was, it was pretty much a given.

In time they eventually reached the Grace estate, a slightly more than medium two story house that practically stood out from all the rest in the neighborhood. Geez, Abi knew Molly's family was rich but even that seemed a bit much to her.

There weren't any threats outside so they both approached it, with Molly kicking the door down like it was nothing.

It was dead silent inside. Please, please be here… Molly could only hope.

As the two walked onto the living room everything seemed pretty normal too. No blood, no bodies. Nothing really caught Abis eye, aside from maybe a couple things.

Notably being some family photos, if you can even call them that. Most of them that had the whole family in them seemed off with Molly playing with her hair or fidgeting around, the kinda behavior that she expected from herself.

And those that didn't have her and her sister in them, and just the older felines: the brown tabby cat and slightly different peach one. Weren't even… Wait. Abi put the photo down and turned to Molly. “You never told me you were…”

“Born here?” Yeah, yeah. “What of it?” She was treating it like it wasn't some kind of revelation.

Which it was, but- “It's nothing. It's just a surprise, that's all. Guess it makes sense though.” From how she acted, to how she actually knew how technology worked. (unlike a certain vanilla cat), definitely explained a lot.

Molly gave Abi a snort. “Sure…” Guess that's what money and supposed “connections” like her parents have gets you. Those very same connections she once flaunted…

Honestly, Molly could give less of a fuck of what the cats outside this town probably thought of her. A bunch of assholes… And she was probably grumbling to herself? Wasn't she?

She was.

Thankfully, Abi didn't seem to notice or care.

And even better for them, they heard someone. “M-Molly…?” A rather sniveling voice from a shorter cat with fluffy fur and a rather oversized shirt and pants to boot.

"Floof…?!” Molly instantly ran up to her and grabbed her in a hug.

Much to the others surprise. “Molly you're squeezing me…!”

“Oh right…” She put her down. “Sorry.”

It was just that… Molly was practically in tears, for reasons Floof probably couldn't even begin to understand. “I'm just glad you're okay.”

However, Floof suddenly jumped up with a “Eep!” as soon as she saw the obviously unfamiliar face in the room. “W-who are you…?”

Snap. She should have known she would've reacted like that. Molly cleared her throat and strangely politely gestured over to Abi. “Floof, this is Abi. She's a friend.”

The border collie gave Floof a slight wave. “Hey…” Kids, am I right? Abi wasn't good with them.

Now that they had Molly's younger sister, they all started the trek back.

Molly shushed Floof. “Be quiet… Or else…” How could she phrase it? “Or else the bad guys will get us…” Really, that's how she was explaining it? Cats, help her.

I mean, Floof got it at least, as indicated by her quieting down with a nod.

But Abi couldn't help but laugh a bit. “Talk about a change of attitude, huh?”

The tabby glared at her. “Shut it.”

Geez… “Kidding, kidding…” Some things never change, do they?

Even so, with how chipper as things were…

Abi felt something. She put an arm in front of Molly while she kept Floof from running off.

Something running in on them, close and fast.

E. Yell at Molly to get out the way!
