today was the day of the housewarming dinner party i'd planned and i was actually really excited. it was like a test on hosting before my gender reveal in just over a week. we'd invited my parents, mase's parents, alessia, jaz, sam and jude which was gonna be nice as i haven't seen any of them except jaz and sam in a long while and i've missed them all but especially jude. we've always been very close but since i fell pregnant and jude's joined real madrid we haven't made time to see each other and i want that to change. mase was on cooking duty and i was on decorations, drinks and games like uno.

it was a lovely crisp day so when i stepped outside, i was definitely feeling the autumn vibes. i was exhausted because last night i had my friend frankie's concert. it was her first ever headline concert and i was beyond proud of the amazing show she put on. i could see the fog surrounding everything as i walked into our local town centre, cradling my bump, my headphones blasting frankie's music. i picked up a few bottles of pop to make a fruit punch type thing as well as a bottle of champagne and some beers for jude, dad, sam, tony and mase.

i grabbed some new candles and a few bunches of flowers for the table then walked back home. i found mase in the kitchen, making a start on dinner. we were having toad in the hole with mash and veg, then rhubarb crumble for afters, mason's grandmothers recipe. i walked into the kitchen and wrapped my arms around mason's torso, pressing a soft kiss to his bare back. "oh hey, you're home" he said, turning around and placing his hands on my bump and leaning down to kiss it. "hey! how's dinner going" i asked, just as he was about to reply i heard the doorbell ring.

i opened the door and jude was stood on the other side, suitcase in hand. "bellingham!" i shouted, "russo!" he replied, holding his arms open and pulling me into a hug. "i missed you, idiot" i said, hitting his arm softly, "i missed you too, i mean look at your fucking stomach, you're having a baby!" he replied, "yes jude, funnily enough we've known this for about 4 months now" i said sarcastically. "shut up, you know what i meant, you melt" he replied, "come on, lets go find mase. ooh! i can give you a tour!" i said dragging him into the kitchen.

"jude! it's great to see you mate!" mason said, pulling him into a bro-hug thing, "masey-boy! it's good to see you too! i honestly don't know how you put up with this one" he said gesturing to me over his shoulder, "oh charming!" i said, rolling my eyes, "come on, i'll show you around" i told him, as i began walking up the stairs with him behind me. after a quick tour of our new house, me and jude were sat out by the pool when i got a call from madelyn. it was nice to have a converstaion with all three of us. i missed having the trio together but that phone call made me feel warm and happy inside. after we said goodbye to mads we decided to take a quick picture then get ready for the other guests to get here.

the whole evening, i felt really emotional. being in my dream, forever home, with some of my favourite people and the man i want to spend the rest of my life with, whilst carrying our child. there was something about it that made me feel immensely grateful. we spend the evening playing board games and just laughing. i couldn't wait for my baby to be here and be brought up around these people. i couldn't wait for the upcoming milestones like finding out the gender, the baby being born and all that comes with having a child. i was beyond excited.

the next day, me and jude decided to go to a cafe and have a proper catch up before he had to go back to birmingham. it wasn't long until he'd be back down here though for the gender reveal. it was lovely to spend the day properly catching up. jude had always been like a brother to me and i truly missed the amount of time we used to spend together. we spoke about everything. drama from secondary school, mads, the baby and his football career. it was like no time had passed.

a/n - hey guys! i hope you're all doing okay. im sorry it's been so long since i've updated. i don't really know what to do with this book currently as its in that awkward stage before i can write about any major points in dani's pregnancy but as soon as the gender reveal happens speed should hopefully pick up. i'm also mid-gcse season so i need you to be patient but writing is like my little break away so i should hopefully be writing more! love you all!
