Meera pov:

It's been two days since the Vinayagar Chathurthi celebration, and Adrian is completely focused on his new Russian project. Per my request, he's stopped coming home late—finally! I guess my husband has a little healthy fear of me after all, and I'm definitely happy about that.

As for me, the imports and exports business is running smoothly. But I didn't want to handle everything on my own, so I called in Dahlia and Elena to help. Dahlia is supervising things at the warehouse, handling clients like a pro. Meanwhile, Elena is working from home, taking care of all the company's data work since she also has to keep an eye on little Augustine—our very own little tornado!

Adrian has been busy dealing with everything regarding that VSP guy and trying to track him down. When he told me about Venkatesan uncle's family, I was stunned. Poor Parthasarathy, having to deal with such an evil father and stepbrother. And that Vishal guy? Adrian told me about him, and honestly, I didn't get good vibes at all. But I trust Adrian completely—I know he'll handle it all, and I'll be right here to support him in any way I can!

As I stepped out of the car, I was greeted by Martin, our driver, and my personal guard. "Señora, we are here," he said in his usual calm tone. I gave him a small smile, "Gracias, Martin." He nodded politely, and I couldn't help but think back to how I had resisted the idea of having a personal bodyguard at first. But Adrian is stubborn as ever. After a long back-and-forth argument, he insisted on assigning Martin, and here we are. I didn't stand a chance against his persistence when he sets his mind on something. Adrian's protective nature can be overbearing sometimes, but it comes from a place of love. Even when he's angry, I can see the concern in his eyes.

Straightening the collar of my shirt and adjusting my coat, I walked into the office building. It's not huge, but it's got that modern, professional feel. The two-story building with glass walls gleams in the sunlight, and the sleek design makes it look trendy and efficient. Behind the building is our warehouse, where all the action happens. It's small, with just around 20 of us working here, but we're a tight-knit team, and things are running smoothly for now.

As I walked in, the staff greeted me with polite nods. "Buenos días, Señora(good morning mam)," they chimed. I smiled back at them. "Buenos días," I replied, nodding my head. I've got to admit, the Spanish accent in the office gives it a nice vibe.

I made my way to my cabin, pushed the door open, and took a seat behind my desk. My office is just how I like it—trendy yet simple. A few personal touches make it feel cozy, like the framed picture of Adrian and me from a fair sitting on my desk, and the sleek glass windows that bring in natural light. There's a large computer monitor in front of me, and I can already see the day's tasks piling up.

Just then, my assistant Zoe walked in with a bright smile. She's about my age, with short blonde hair that just reaches her neck. "Good morning, Señora," she greeted cheerfully.

"Good morning, Zoe!" I replied, matching her energy.

She handed me the morning briefing, and we quickly went over the details. The company's day-to-day work involves tracking shipments, negotiating deals with clients, and managing inventory at the warehouse. It's a fast-paced job, but I like it that way.
