Third pov:

Adrian tore through the streets, a storm of fury and fear brewing inside him. Something had felt off ever since he left Meera, and now his worst nightmare was unfolding. On his way to the airport, he received a call from Martin—suspicious activity at the hospital. Without hesitation, Adrian handed off his Spain meeting to Andros and sped toward the hospital, heart racing. Every attempt to reach Martin or Ken met with silence, tightening the knot in his gut. He tried calling Martin again but got no response, and when he attempted to reach Ken, there was silence there too. Anxiety pushed him to accelerate even more. He quickly called his men, instructing Luis, Diego, and even Naveen to meet him at the hospital.

Adrian had already alerted Luis, Diego, and even Naveen. Luis and Diego were in Burlington with their wives, thankfully, and had joined in immediately. Adrian's men were gathering at the hospital, ready to assist. When Adrian arrived, the hospital was swarming with his men and local cops. His presence was like a thunderstorm as he walked in, head high, jaw tight, and eyes sharp. Inside, Martin lay bruised and bloodied. The sight of his loyal man like that made Adrian's blood boil, but he remained calm.

He found one of his loyal men, Martin lying in one of the rooms, bruised and bloodied.

Martin, shamefaced, looked up and mumbled, "Sorry, jefe... they were too much. We tried to protect Señora, me, and Ken... but they overpowered us."

Adrian's jaw clenched, but his tone remained calm."Martin "I don't blame you. You fought. That's what matters. Just take care of yourself"

Just then, Naveen stormed into the room, his face red with fury, unshed tears glistening in his eyes. "Macha..." he started, his voice tight with rage, "We found the CCTV footage. They used Amma as bait... they took Meera. Partha's men shot Martin and Ken!"

Adrian's hands tightened into fists, his usually calm eyes now filled with red-hot anger. His heart pounded with both fury and fear. Meera, his Meera, was in danger—and their unborn child too. His worst fears were playing out in front of him. Luis and Diego soon arrived, both of them immediately promising to stand by Adrian.

Adrian nods and grateful for their support and took a deep breath, regaining control over his emotions. His sharp mind kicked into action, focusing on the next steps. His voice was cold and stern as he turned to Naveen. "I need every address linked to Partha and his father in Burlington. Any old homes, restaurants, properties... everything."

Naveen nodded quickly, already pulling up information. "I have them, macha. We need to move fast." as they were about to leave, Dahlia arrived in tears, desperate to know Meera was okay. Adrian gave her a brief, reassuring look before she stayed behind to comfort Anjali, who was at the hospital.

As Adrian, Naveen, Luis, and Diego stepped outside, Naveen's phone buzzed with a message. He ignored it at first, but a moment later, a call came through. He answered it and quickly checked the message. His face tightened as he showed Adrian the screen.

"Macha, you need to see this," Naveen said, his voice tense.

It was a video from an unknown number—Partha carrying an unconscious Meera into a building. The footage was grainy, filmed from a terrace, and along with it was a location. Adrian's jaw tightened, and his face hardened into a mask of cold fury.

Meera pov:

I felt like I was drowning, trapped beneath a suffocating weight, my mind barely able to process the nightmare unfolding before me. Fingers brushed against my forehead, then my nose, softly grazing my cheeks, but instead of warmth, there was only cold dread. It wasn't the tender, electric touch that Adrian's hands always left on my skin—it was something far more sinister.
