"I'm still the same person Hiro, the fact that my father founded the corporations we both work for doesn't change anything" Ronni said as Hiro stood looking at him.

"you don't work for it though, you own it" Hiro replied.

"not quite yet, my father is still very much alive" Ronni smiled.

"the deal is off Ronni, sorry, Mr Witchattakam so if you'll excuse me" Hiro made to walk past Ronni to go into his apartment.

"no, I waited six long years for you Hiro, you can't do this to me ..." Ronni began.

"yes I can, I don't know what game you're playing here but I don't want any part of it" Hiro said.

"what game? I've been nothing but honest with you" Ronni said.

"then why didn't you tell me six years ago that your family was wealthy?" Hiro said.

"why? what purpose would it have served? look Hiro, I liked you the first time I saw you when I transferred to your school, you said yourself I was quiet. I used to watch you while trying to pluck up the courage to talk to you and in the end, you came up to talk to me and I grabbed the opportunity" Ronni said.

"but you could get anybody you wanted Mr Witchattakam, what the hell would you want me for ... apart from the obvious" Hiro spat.

"I swear, if you call me Mr Witchattakam one more time I'm going to drag you into that apartment and spank you so hard you won't be able to sit down for a month!" Ronni said.

"then leave and I won't have to call you anything" Hiro said.

"so you don't trust me, you think I'm just wanting to pick up where we left off ... maybe indulge in a few hook ups while I'm in town?"

"with all due respect how can I trust you when I don't even know you that well, that night at the beach was the most time we ever spent together in the two years I knew you and to be fair, we didn't do much talking"

"ok I'll leave ... if you can look me in the eye and tell me that you haven't thought of me at all these past six years" Ronni said.

Hiro looked at Ronni and opened his mouth to speak.

"I haven't thought of you at all since the morning you dropped me off after the graduation party"

"then why are you blushing? I don't believe you" Ronni said.

"I don't care, just leave Ronni and let's forget about that night ..." Hiro said.

"ok, I'm leaving but anything that happens after tonight is all your own doing, remember that" Ronni said as he turned to walk away.

"what do you mean, what's going to happen? answer me dammit!" Hiro shouted down the corridor as Ronni ignored him and walked into the elevator.

Hiro unlocked the door of his apartment and went inside kicking off his shoes in the doorway then he dumped his take out on the kitchen counter and flopped down in one of the chairs, he didn't feel like eating anymore.

Tears sprang to his eyes as he thought about everything that had happened since Ronni had turned up at his office earlier on this evening, everything had gone wrong but then again, everything he ever tried to do somehow went pear shaped, why should this be any different?

He looked down at his outfit that he had carefully picked out, what a waste but it was probably for the best.

After putting the food into the fridge he took a shower and dressed in shorts and a vest before turning on his laptop and writing his letter of resignation then after mailing it to the human resources department he started looking online for another job and mailed his cv to a few places.
