It had been several weeks since Hiro had started working as Ronni's assistant and surprisingly he had enjoyed it, he was working longer hours but the work was interesting and he had finally been able to utilise a lot of the knowledge that he had acquired in college and Ronni had kept things strictly professional.
Hiro had quietly observed Ronni in action as he navigated the boardroom with ease and he seemed comfortable interacting with everyone whether they were wealthy clients or humble cleaners, Ronni would listen to what they had to say no matter how important or trivial the issue.
When Hiro tried to compare him with the quiet young man he had known in the upper secondary the two seemed so different, now he was confident, a lot more confident and even though he was still mysterious there would be no more lurking in doorways at parties or gatherings.
In short, he was a people person and Hiro envied his outgoing and magnetic personality, it was difficult to believe that he used to be like that back in college.
Hiro had been back to Ronni's penthouse apartment several times since that first evening and he was becoming accustomed to letting himself in and out of it, he knew his way around the place as if he lived there himself.
He would often make coffee, tea or snacks in the kitchen if they were working late and on one or two occasions he had slept over in the guest bedroom. Ronni had been the perfect gentleman and Hiro was beginning to wonder if he had let go of his feelings and he wondered why the prospect made him feel depressed.
Coming back to the present he had collected Ronni's dry cleaning and now he was taking it back to his apartment, there was a function this evening that Ronni had to attend or to be more precise' he didn't have to but it was in his best interest's to show his face and mingle and as his assistant, Hiro was expected to go with him.
Hiro carried the dry cleaning across to the brand new car that Ronni had insisted he use because he needed him to be available 24/7 so he would need a car that was reliable. Hiro hooked the clothing on the clothes hanger while making sure that his vision wasn't blocked then he set off to Ronnie's apartment.
He had to admit that sometimes he felt more like a wife than an assistant and he was aware that a lot of the girls back at the office envied him being so close to the C.E.O.
Arriving at Ronni's place he parked up in his designated space and a quick look at the car beside told him that his boss was already at home. He retrieved the dry cleaning before using his hip to shut the door then fumbling with the key he managed to lock the car before heading up to the apartment.
He keyed in the security code and walked inside before slipping his shoes off in the doorway then he headed into Ronni's bedroom to hang the clothes, he suspected that Ronni was in his home office, he tended to spend a lot of time in there when he was home.
Walking into the bedroom he headed to the walk in closet and triggered the automatic lighting as soon as he entered, it was more like a tiny store than a closet with illuminated shelves full of folded sweaters and brand new, unopened shirts.
There were rails stuffed with designer suits, different coloured shirts and jeans all individually covered with transparent sleeves and more shelves holding handmade italian leather shoes, designer trainers and other footwear.
There were drawers with neatly folded boxer shorts and socks and another held a variety of ties and another drawer contained an assortment of designer watches.
Finally there was a special drawer where Ronni kept an assortment of gold and silver cuff links and tie pins and there were several boxes containing chains and bracelets and one or two rings.
