Ronni and Hiro got settled in and unpacked their bags before resting for a while but Ronni couldn't really settle, he was afraid of falling asleep and being late to meet the Rosetti's at the airport so after showering and getting changed they felt a little better and set off to pick up their guests with two additional cars from the KamYāng estate following behind them.
They were expecting at least four guests but had made allowances for assistants or security and they arrived at the airport ten minutes before the flight landed then made their way to the arrivals where Hiro pulled the printed sign out of his bag ready to hold up, it read Rosetti Family, simple and clear.
When the first passengers began to filter through, Ronni took a deep breath and Hiro wished he could do something to ease his anxiousness as they both stared at the double doors which security had opened wide.
Ten minutes later they spotted a group of six people heading towards the doors, two of the men were pushing luggage trolleys which had suitcases balanced precariously and were rocking dangerously from side to side.
"fuck, I don't think we'll get everything in the cars Hiro" Ronni whispered through his smile.
"on it Ronni, don't worry" Hiro said calling one of the drivers outside and asking them to get another car here quickly.
"Mr Rosetti, welcome to Thailand" Ronni said walking forward and wai'ing first before shaking hands with the man who he recognised from his zoom calls.
"Mr Witchattakam' it's good to meet you in person, please call me Enrico and this is my grandfather Fabio and his wife Francesca"
Ronni wai'd at the older couple before shaking their hands,
"welcome to Thailand sir, ma'am" Ronni smiled.
"please, call me nonno and my wife won't mind if you call her nonna" he smiled.
"and please, everyone call me Ronni and this is Hiro" Ronni said in introduction before continuing,
"you must be exhausted after your long flight so please allow us to escort you back to our estate where refreshments will be served and then you can rest" Ronni said.
"that sounds like a great plan, now where is that ..." Enrico began as he looked behind them.
"zio 'Rico ... I can't find my ..." a younger man walked through the arrivals doors while looking down, his hand rummaging in his holdall.
Hiro looked at him then looked at their guests who were all looking at the young man then he looked back at the man himself at the same time as he looked up at Hiro and gave an almighty squeal before running up and hugging him.
"Ro baby" he smiled while Hiro looked at Ronni in shock.
"Siwan?" Hiro asked him.
"yes it's me Siwan ... surprise" he laughed.
Hiro smiled at him before looking at all the others wondering what the hell was going on.
"ah I should explain, this is my Uncle Rico, my great grandfather and great grandmother, when I heard they were coming to Thailand to KamYāng I just had to come, I had heard on the grapevine that you worked for one of their companies but I didn't know you would be here to welcome us, how cool is that" he beamed.
"you're related? but you have a different surname?" Hiro said.
"ah, my papà is Uncle 'Rico's cousin and my mama is thai as you know" Siwan smiled.
"I'm sorry Ronni, kid's ... what can you do" Enrico shrugged but smiled all the same.
Ronni didn't know how to respond to that considering that he was the same age as those 'kids', if it hadn't been for his fathers accident, he would have been the one overseeing this visit but as it was.
