Hiro spent the morning with Ronni's secretary as she helped him to complete all the paperwork needed for his transfer up to the C.E.Os office and he had to sign a new employment contract which he wasn't very comfortable with but he made sure to read all the T&Cs and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
The only issues were that his working hours had the potential to be a lot more than they were now but in fairness his new rate of pay reflected that and he would receive many extra benefits.
He knew that people would all be wondering how he'd scored the promotion from basically being a nobody to the C.E.O's personal assistant but quite frankly he didn't really care what they thought because he had been going to resign anyway and it's not like he had made any great friends in the two years he had been here.
Ronni's secretary seemed ok, friendly and professional and Hiro got the impression he would get on with her. He was advised that as Mr Witchattakam's personal assistant he would have to use the same office and remain by his side for much of the day.
Ronni had left the office to attend meetings then had returned at 1.30pm before addressing both his secretary and Hiro.
"I'm assuming you've both had lunch?"
"yes sir, thank you for asking" his secretary replied.
"good, and all the transfer paperwork has been taken care of?" Ronni had asked.
"yes, Mr Ichitawan is all yours sir" she had smiled and Hiro hadn't appreciated her wording even though it had been said in innocence.
"great, follow me Mr Ichitawan" Ronni said and after wai'ing to the secretary, Hiro had followed Ronni into his office.
"you will be working in here with me starting from tomorrow morning, 8.30am, my secretary will take most of the incoming calls so you don't need to worry about that, your job, simply put is to be at my beck and call and do what I tell you to do.
You will accompany me to most places and there will be many lunches, dinners and events where I will need you by my side, any questions?" Ronni asked him.
"no, not yet"
The intercom beeped and Ronni pressed the button,
"the office furniture for Mr Achitawan has arrived sir" the secretary said.
"ok, please send them in" Ronni replied then the door opened to reveal two store men carrying a large desk while a third man walked behind them wheeling in a new office chair.
The desk was set up at a 90° angle to Ronni's desk and within minutes, a couple of different guys were setting up a computer and phone line.
"thank's guy's" Ronni said to the store men who wai'd before leaving the office.
"right, you have thirty minutes to play around on your computer, set up your email account and then we need to go out.
"yes sir" Hiro replied
"Hiro ..." Ronni warned him
"sorry, yes Ronni"
"better, now do you want a cup of coffee?" Ronni asked him.
"no thank you si ... Ronni"
"you sure? I don't know when we'll get chance again" Ronni asked again.
"I'm fine but thank you for asking" Hiro replied.
Ronni made two cups of coffee on his personal machine and carried one outside the door leaving it ajar,
"here you go Miss Anunan, keep up the good work" Ronni said.
