∆ Coffee Date. Kinda ∆

Back in your tiny and crusty apartment, you sprawled across the couch-one you got from a thrift store-, your mind buzzing with strategies to get Lolbit to like you. The clock ticked away in the background as you scribbled ideas on your notepad, each one more ridiculous than the last.

"Maybe I could bake him a cake…or bring some snacks? No, he probably doesn’t eat. How about… a game?" you mused aloud, idly tapping your pen against your chin. The clock on the wall ticked away, each second seeming to mock your indecision, and a slow frustration bubbled up within you. "Or maybe I could just show him some cat videos? Animatronics like cats, right?”

You sighed, feeling more stuck than ever. The usual tricks seemed so futile. You stared at the ceiling, trying to think outside the box. What if the way to get Lolbit to like you wasn’t through entertaining him, but by being a friend instead? The thought struck you—what if you tried to connect with him on a personal level, show him a bit of genuine companionship? It was a strange idea, one you weren’t familiar with yourself. Your past relationships hadn’t exactly been about friendship, but maybe that was exactly what Lolbit needed.

He did seem pretty lonely; no longer in the spotlight and disliked by Funtime Foxy- which probably meant the others didn't like him either.

“Acting like a friend… it’s worth a shot,” you muttered, feeling a mix of apprehension and hope. You scribbled a new note on your pad, trying to outline what kind of friend you could be to an animatronic who was, frankly, quite dangerous. It was a step into unknown territory, but you were determined to make it work.

Just as you were about to give up on coming up with anything concrete, your phone buzzed with a message, pulling you out of your thoughts. It was from Zach, inviting you out for coffee. He mentioned he had found some intriguing information about your family name. You hesitated, but curiosity got the better of you. Maybe this was a distraction you needed—something to take your mind off the looming challenge of winning Lolbit over.

Waiting in front of the coffee shop, you saw Zach approaching with an overly enthusiastic smile that seemed a bit too intense. He held open the glass door, allowing you to walk in first, his gaze lingering on you just a fraction too long.

Zach directed you to a small booth in the corner of the shop and took a seat beside you rather than across from you, which felt a bit odd but you brushed it off. You tried not to think too much about it as he began to pull a laptop from his bag.

Before he could open the laptop, a barista came over to take your orders.

“Oh, I’ll just have a hot caramel macchiato,” Zach said with a charming smile.

“I’ll have a f/d and maybe a f/muffin,” you replied, feeling a tad peckish.

The barista smiled and walked away to ring up your order.

Once she was gone, Zach opened the laptop and revealed a browser filled with numerous open tabs.

“I’ll just let you look at all of this,” he said, his tone overly casual, “I found quite a bit about your last name and family history.”

His findings displayed multiple articles about a chain restaurant called Freddy Fazbear’s—something you had never heard of. The articles mentioned a man named William Afton and another named Henry Emily. William Afton caught your attention immediately because of the shared last name, but you quickly realized he couldn’t be your father. According to the articles, Afton had three children. One had been killed brutally by one of his creations, an animatronic named Freddy, who had crushed his skull in an incident known as the Bite of ’83. Another child, a daughter, was theorized to have been killed by one of his other creations, though it didn’t specify which. The third child, Michael Afton, was named in the articles.
