DELILAH PULLED her gaze away from the bowl in front of her, watching as Jackie trudged over, the bucket swinging in her hands and the water sloshing all over the place. She looked to be struggling.

As much as Delilah didn't want to, she got up, walking over to the girl. Clearly, Jackie wasn't cut out for the wild, and if the pure puppy eyed look in her face wasn't enough for someone to take action, she didn't know what was. Plus, Jackie was dropping more water than needed.

"Give it, Taylor." She whispered, grabbing away at the bucket. Jackie seemed to want to resist, but as soon as Delilah looked at her with raised eyebrows and a glare, her grip melted and her body relaxed as the shift of weight was moved off her.

"Fuck." She breathlessly chuckled, her eyes watching Delilah's own. The two girls looked at each other for a moment, before Jackie snapped them out of it by talking. "Thanks."

Delilah pursed her lips, looking Jackie's face up and down. She did look utterly exhausted. "Don't want you dropping all our water, do we?" She replied, blankly.

"No! No...course." Jackie shook her head and laughed nervously, smiling hesitantly. Delilah looked at the quirk of her lips, watching the corners of Jackie's mouth raise.

She copied it, a bit uncertain. "Alright.." Delilah trailed off, picking up the bucket once more and walking off, her gaze still stuck on Jackie and her head turned over her shoulder.

Jackie watched her go, still smiling nervously.

Shauna walked over, glancing back at Delilah as she went past. The Shipman girl then eyed Jackie, the look on her face an unfamiliar one, or well, definitely not one she usually held after talking to Delilah.

"What was that about?" Shauna quirked up her lips in a sly grin, watching Jackie blink and glance at her. "Oh! Nothing, just...you know."

Shauna narrowed her eyes and nodded slowly, seemingly unconvinced. However Jackie didn't reply to her look, instead diverting the attention. "Why are you so chipper? Don't you have a blood sacrifice between your legs like the rest of us?"

The question made Shauna visible pause. "Um, I'm late this month." She stuttered out, putting her hands on her hips, before quickly crossing her arms and jutting out a hip in a nervous attempt at seeming normal. Jackie watched this with a slight raised eyebrow, looking her best friend up and down.

"Uh, we were in a plane crash. It's probably just stress." Shauna tried, seeing the unconvinced look.

Jackie smiled, nodding her head and raising an eyebrow teasingly. "Well, lucky you're a virgin or we'd really have to worry." A snort from behind them.
