CASUAL yellowjackets ──────────────────
"IHAVE an announcement..." Laura Lee spoke loudly, Shauna and Delilah stepping down into the main room as everyone jumped awake with a start, groans and complaints towards the girl spewing out immediately.
"Thank you. In light of the expedition ending as it did, I have decided that I'm going to take the dead guy's plane and fly south. I'm going to find us help, and I'm going to get us out of here."
Everyone stopped, looking around with furrowed brows. The sleep hadn't disappeared from their eyes, and as Delilah blinked and rubbed at her eye, she barely registered what Laura Lee was saying.
"But y-you don't know how." Natalie stuttered, looking as confused as the rest of them. Delilah wandered over to sit on the window sill, pulling her legs up to her chest and watching as Laura Lee nodded slowly.
"I've been studying the flight manual for weeks, and I checked the gas tank, it's full. I used to watch my grandpa fly. He even let me steer a few times. I know that I can do this. You can't deny that Van needs serious medical attention."
Everyone went quiet for a moment, bowing their heads at the mention of the girl who slept with groans of pain. As Delilah blinked quickly and looked around, feeling like she couldn't say anything, she felt her heart skip as Jackie then spoke up.
"She's not the only one. Shauna, tell them."
Delilah's jaw slackened but she kept her mouth shut, looking at Jackie with a slightly stunned expression, scrunching up her brows. "Jackie -" She muttered, but it went unheard as Shauna then spoke up to the eyes that flickered onto her.
"I-I really don't..."
"Tell them." Jackie pushed, raising a brow. Delilah narrowed her eyes, glancing between the two, not liking where it was going. Sure, Jackie was petty, but not this petty.
"What is it?"
"Yeah, tell us what?"
Shauna swallowed, her throat bobbing. She looked horridly uncomfortable, and as she glanced Delilah's way, holding an expression that told her that Shauna needed just as much a reason to get out of the conversation as anything else.
With a quick look towards Jackie, Delilah saw the girl turn a little with a small smug smile. Looking past Jackie, Delilah met Taissa's stunned gaze.
"I'm-I'm pregnant."
Jaws dropped and Misty jumped up, immediately going into action as Delilah looked at Shauna with wide eyes, not knowing if she felt bad or not.
"You were having sex?" Akilah gasped, looking as surprised as the rest of them.
