They enter a dark room with broken pieces all around and two rows of giant statues on either side."I don't like this. I don't like this at all" Hermione says feeling scared. Harry also feeling nervous asks " Where are we? A graveyard?"

"Well that is not creepy at all," Sirius said others nodded in agreement. James gives his friend a deadpanned look as if to say no shit before looking worriedly back at the screen.

Ron shakes his head before responding "This is no graveyard. [sighs and steps forward, inspecting the statues] It's a chessboard." Torches light up the room Ron looks back to the three as they start walking up to him but the three stop when they hear Ron gasp. The three stop confused not knowing why he gasped before Ron points at Iris's shirt seeing blood seeping through the material. Harry and Hermione gasping at the sight Harry starts panicking not knowing when she got hurt. "wh... when did that happen?! Are you ok?! You need to go back..." Harry rushed out looking for an exit for his sister.

Lily hating to see her children hurt starts tearing up and glares at Dumbledore and McGonagall finding most of this being their fault. Why would Dumbledore move something that valuable and that was safe in a vault to a school full of young students? Why did McGongall completely dismiss her son who tried to warn her? She started feeling hate for the professors in front of her James noticing who she was glaring at couldn't help but also glare feeling the same as his future wife.

Iris seeing that he is about to have a panic attack grabs his shoulders making him pause and look at her. "I promise it looks worse than it is ok. It doesn't even hurt anymore and it stopped bleeding. I promise to go to the hospital wing later if that makes you feel better but right now I promise I am fine." Harry looks unsure but nods anyway knowing he won't be able to change her mind.

Harry then notices a door and points it out as they walk across the board, toward the door. Suddenly, as they reach a line of pawns, the pawns bring up their swords. The four jump and back up.

James and Sirius jump not expecting the sudden action "Warn a guy! I can't handle this much stress!" Sirius yells dramatically while holding his chest.

"Now what do we do?" Hermione nervously stutters. "It's obvious, isn't it? We've got to play our way across the room. Alright. Harry, you take the empty Bishop's Square. Iris, you'll be the Queen-side castle. Hermione, you will be at the empty rook spot. As for me, I'll be a knight." Ron says confidently as they all take their places.

"What happens now?" Hermione hesitantly asked from her place.

Ron aboard a horse." Well, white moves first. And then... we play." A pawn on the other side moves forward. As Ron studies the game.

Hermione feeling afraid of the answer she might get nervously asks "Ron, you don't suppose this is going to be like... real wizard's chess, do you?"

Ron wanting to find out yells "You there, D5. [A black pawn moves forward, diagonal to the white pawn. The white pawn raises its sword and smashes the black one. causing the three jump.] Yes, Hermione. I think this is going to be exactly like wizard's chess."

Shrieks are heard around the hall Molly and Lily look like they could faint seeing the piece get smashed and knowing one of their kids could meet the same fate.

Kol who showed interest in the game before can't help but hate the idea of the game now, especially trusting an eleven-year-old boy with the safety of his future wife. He then sends a glare to Ron making Ron squeak and hide behind Hermione who rolls her eyes at the man she chose to marry. "You know most husbands would protect their wives not hide behind them," Hermione said in a joking tone. Ron scoffs "Most husbands don't face an angry 1000-something-year-old original vampire that eventually becomes a hybrid with magic!" Hermione pauses then nods her head muttering "fair" before looking back up at the screen.
