Brother's Keeper (wtm)

Break 2

McGonagall stands up announcing that lunch will be offered shortly with an hour break after for people to do as they wish before the third movie starts. People nodded in understanding chatting until food started to appear Little James and Ron immediately dug in making the others laugh fondly.

Klaus frowns when he notices Hope just pushing her food around with a frown on her face. He looks up to Iris also seeing her look worriedly at Hope. Klaus leans down in a soft voice that he swears he will only ever use with his daughter, nephew, and Iris and asks what's bothering her.

Hope looks up to him with tears pooling in her eyes making Klaus instantly ask if she wants to go somewhere more private. Hope nods asking if Mom can come to Klaus nods immediately in agreement knowing he would never be able to tell her no. 

Hayley hearing her daughter want her gets up with a smug smile going towards her daughter only to stop when Hope glares at her in anger and then yells so loud the whole hall can hear "You are not my mom! I hate you! You are the reason everything is so messed up!" Leaving Hailey frozen and embarrassed as people send her dirty looks as Hope runs out with tears streaming down her face. Hailey then rolls her eyes when she sees little Miss Perfect running after the ungrateful brat. Hayley shrugs not caring much Hope will get over it one day because Hope and no one else will be able to change the fact that she is her mother no matter how much Iris tries to matter it won't work in the end. Not noticing an older medic witches glare.

Outside the hall, Iris catches up with Hope, crouching down to wipe her tears and ask what is bothering her. Hope launches herself into Iris's arms and starts sobbing, not answering the question. Iris rubs her back softly, whispering softly to the young girl that everything will be okay, looking worriedly at Klaus and Kol, who follow them out.

As Iris whispers to her to take her time Hope looks up with the saddest look on her face asking "Why can't you be my real mom you love me and treat me like your daughter. So why couldn't you be my real mom like you are to James." Iris goes to respond wanting to tell her that blood doesn't always matter but Hope starts ranting again making Iris stop and instantly listen feeling like there is more to this and wanting Hope to be able to get everything off her chest.

"I know it's wrong and you never treated us any differently but I have always been jealous of James that he got to be your real son and I couldn't be. I love him like a brother and you like a mom but I feel sometimes like a stray that you took in." Iris looks heartbroken wondering if she did something wrong after James was born even though Hope said they were treated the same she worried. But Iris shook the thought away her feeling right now didn't matter Hope's did. Iris wipes Hope's tears again before assuring her that her feelings are valid and there is nothing she needs to feel bad about because she can not help how she feels and there is nothing wrong with that. 

Hope nods feeling better she wipes her face and just holds Iris tightly Klaus smiles sadly at the sight. He would never regret his daughter but he does regret her mother and he feels horrible for his daughter. He and Kol turn around quickly when someone clears their throat behind them both glaring slightly until they recognize it as the woman who works as Hogwarts medic.

Pomfrey freezes slightly at their glare before relaxing when they calm down asking for a word with both of them not wanting to interrupt the beautiful moment yet between the girls. Klaus and Kol glance back at Hope and Iris before at the same time they say "Yes but not far." Both not wanting the girls out of their sight Kol felt protective of his Niece and Pregnant wife even if this version of him technically hadn't married her yet she was still his wife to him and if anyone argued with him he would marry her in the great hall this instant.

Pomfrey takes a deep breath hoping neither men take offense to what she is about to suggest "I do hope I am not overstepping. But after hearing the child so upset and seeing how vile that woman is I might have a way to help if it is ok with you." Klaus and Kol look curiously at the woman before nodding for her to continue.
