Brother's Keeper (wtm)

Mirror of Erised

A door opens and then it closes. On the other side, there is a vast, empty room that has a large mirror in the center known as the Mirror of Erised. Harry appears and walks over to the mirror. In the reflection, he sees two people appear who are Harry's late parents, James and Lily Potter.

"Mum?" Harry questions hopefully Lily nods and smiles. "Dad?" he questions the figure he thinks is his Dad James nods and smiles. Harry reaches out to touch them but only gets the mirror. Then, his mother puts her hand on his shoulder. He puts his own hand on his own shoulders as if trying to feel her there.

Lily's sobs are heard around the Great Hall seeing her baby reach out to try to grab her hand and he can't she pulls Harry into a tight apologizing over and over for not being there for him and his sister.

She isn't the only one many around the Great Hall start tearing up at the emotional scene. James is trying to be strong and comfort Lily and Harry but can feel himself starting to break.

Back in the boy's dormitory in Gryffindor Tower, Harry comes whipping in, invisible.

"Ron, you've really got to see this! Ron, you've got to see this!" Harry shouts at Ron and pulls back the covers. Ron wakes up. "Ron, Ron, come on, get out of bed" Harry continues to try and wake a sleepy Ron.

Ron yawns still tired and asks "Why?"

"There's something you've got to see. Now, come on!" Harry says excitedly rushing out to yell for his sister to come down. Iris rushes down quickly thinking something is wrong but then becomes grumpy when both boys are safe and they just want to show her something. Iris and Ron give each other looks before tiredly following their energetic friend/brother.

An emotional Hufflepuff trying to lighten the atmosphere says "Iris is such a mood! I hate being woken up" causing others around to chuckle and nod in agreement. 

Sirius nodding his head rapidly knowing how grumpy and miserable he is without his beauty sleep.

 "Come on! Come! Come look, it's our parents!" Harry yells out excitedly tears start falling down Iris's face knowing this has to be a cruel trick played on her and her brother.

The atmosphere becomes sad again seeing the strong girl start tearing up thinking it was a cruel joke.

Kol does not like seeing her cry and pulls her closer to him kissing her head and whispering sweet nothings in her ear, nodding in thanks when he sees klaus blocking them from view and glaring at the people who were staring at his little witch.

"I only see us" Ron responds not seeing anything new.

Harry moves over and tells Ron "Look in properly. Go on, stand there. There. You see them, don't you? That's my dad."

 "That's me! Only I'm head boy. And I'm holding the Quidditch cup. And bloody hell! I'm Quidditch Captain too! I look good. Harry, do you think this mirror shows the future?" Ron says excited about all this possibly happening.

Molly who was wiping her eyes scolds Ronald for not reading the room and seeing his friends in distress. Ron nods in agreement also feeling bad seeing the sight of his friends who are like family in such a vulnerable state.

 "How can it? Both of our parents are dead" Harry says sadly before looking at Iris hopefully and asking her to stand in front of the mirror and see if she can see them. Iris didn't want to thinking it would be too hard but seeing her brother's hopeful face at not being the only one to see their parents she decided to try.

Harry feeling terrible hearing her thoughts and now knowing she never wanted to look in the mirror goes to apologize. Iris just waves him off and tells him it was her choice and he had nothing to be sorry for causing him to nod but still feel guilty.
