𝐀/𝐍 - I'm sorry if your name is Jessica. Change it as you like. I read something like this a long time ago, I got inspired and wrote it in my own way.

Jessica had broken up with Peter and found herself a senior boy, claiming Peter was too innocent-minded to give her what she wanted. As a senior at Midtown High, Jessica had been Peter's girlfriend for only two months, but her intentions were far from genuine. A popular cheerleader with an attitude straight out of a high school movie, she had only been with Peter for his homework, though Peter was blissfully unaware of this.

Now, after the breakup, Peter believed he was ready to take the next step and win Jessica back.

Peter and Ned were standing at Peter's locker, watching from afar as Jessica flirted with a senior jock.

"Ned, I really want her back. I'm ready now, but she won't even look at me. I tried talking to her."

"We've got to plan something. Hey, what if..."

"What?" Peter leaned in, curious.

"No, never mind."

"Oh, come on, man. Tell me."

"What if you fake date someone and make her jealous so she'll come back to you?"

"Ned, you're brilliant!"

"I know," Ned said with a proud smile.

"But who would want to fake date me? I don't have money to offer." Peter pouted.

"We'll figure it out. Maybe someone kind-hearted and friendly would be willing to help. What about MJ?"

"Oh, she'd skin me alive before even hearing the plan."

"True. We'll look for candidates then."

The next morning, Peter and Ned were back at Peter's locker, determined to find someone to help. Ned's eyes fell on you as you stood at your locker, just one down from Peter's.

"What about her? She's nice. I have two classes with her," Ned whispered.

"Um, not to be rude or anything, but she can't compete with Jessica. I mean, look at Jessica and then look at her," Peter whispered back.

You were a short girl, standing at just 5 feet 1 inch, and you wore glasses. Not a nerd, but because of your glasses, people assumed you were. Jessica, on the other hand, was a school beauty-someone everyone wanted to be like.

Unfortunately for Peter, he and Ned weren't quiet enough. You heard every word, and it stung to be compared to another girl by two boys you thought were nice. Anger flared within you, and you suddenly slammed your locker door shut, the sound causing Peter and Ned to snap their heads in your direction.

"Wow, Mr. Parker. I never thought I'd hear something like that from you," you said, your voice laced with anger.

Peter gulped, scared that he'd been caught. "I-I'm really sorry, but you can't really deny it, to be honest. I'm sorry."

"Thank you so much for the ego boost, Parker," you shot back sarcastically before turning on your heel and walking away.

Ned facepalmed, realising they'd just lost a potential candidate.
