You and Peter had just settled on the couch in your bedroom, tucked away from the world. It was a rare moment when the Avengers Tower felt quiet, Tony and the team busy with their missions, leaving you and Peter to enjoy some rare alone time. Peter sat next to you, his arm wrapped protectively around your shoulders, as your fingers laced together, neither of you able to resist the pull that had always existed between you.
Your eyes met, and you couldn’t help but smile at how flustered Peter looked, his cheeks a soft shade of pink. Even after all this time, Peter Parker—your boyfriend and friendly neighborhood Spider-Man—was still shy around you. And you loved that about him.
"You're staring," he mumbled, eyes dropping to the floor, but his grip on your hand tightened slightly.
"Maybe I just like looking at you," you teased, inching closer until your knee brushed against his. Peter swallowed hard, his brown eyes meeting yours again, more confident this time.
He smiled, that soft, innocent smile that always melted your heart. You were just about to tease him again when he leaned in, the warmth of his breath brushing against your lips before he closed the distance between you in a tender kiss.
Peter’s hand moved up, cupping your cheek as he deepened the kiss, a little braver this time. Your heart fluttered, the world outside disappearing entirely. There was just Peter—his warmth, his scent, and the way he made you feel safe in every moment, even when the rest of your life felt chaotic.
What you didn’t know was that while you were caught up in the sweetness of Peter’s kiss, your dad—Tony Stark, aka Iron Man—was back from his mission earlier than expected.
Tony had promised you that he wouldn’t spy on your personal life anymore, but old habits die hard. Especially when it came to you and Peter. He had always been protective, and since Peter had become your boyfriend, Tony's protectiveness had multiplied tenfold. He respected Peter as Spider-Man but as his daughter’s boyfriend? That was a different story.
Unbeknownst to you, Tony had checked the security cameras, and what he saw—well, let’s just say it didn’t sit well with him. His blood boiled as he stormed through the hallways of the Avengers Tower, heading straight for your room.
Just as Peter was about to pull you in for another kiss, the door burst open, and there stood Tony Stark with his helmet and repulsers on, his helmet retracting to reveal a not-so-pleased expression.
"Well, well, well," Tony's voice boomed through the room, startling both you and Peter. "What do we have here?"
Peter froze immediately, pulling back from you as if he’d been electrocuted. His eyes widened in sheer panic, his hand still mid-air from where he’d been caressing your cheek.
"D-Dad!" You stammered, quickly standing up as your face flushed with embarrassment. "What are you doing here?"
"Don't ‘Dad’ me," Tony replied, stepping further into the room, his eyes locking onto Peter, who looked like he was preparing for the worst day of his life. "I told you I’d be back later, but clearly, I wasn’t back soon enough to stop... whatever this is."
Peter jumped to his feet, hands raised as if surrendering to the police. "Mr. Stark, I swear, I wasn’t— I mean, we weren’t—"
"Save it, Parker," Tony interrupted, narrowing his eyes at Peter. "I warned you, didn’t I? No funny business with my daughter, or I’d personally make sure you’re the one catching the next blast from my repulsors."
"Dad!" You exclaimed, stepping in front of Peter as if that would somehow protect him from your father’s wrath. "This isn’t funny. You don’t need to threaten him."
Tony crossed his arms, his gaze not leaving Peter for a second. "Oh, I’m not joking, kiddo. Remember the first time we had a chat about your Spider-Man?"
Peter gulped, nodding, his face pale. "Yes, sir."
"Good," Tony said with a smirk. "Then you’ll also remember when I told you if you ever hurt her, I wouldn’t hesitate to suit up and blast you across the city. And after what I just saw…" Tony gestured to where you and Peter had been moments ago. "Let’s just say I’m considering going for a test run."
Peter’s hands were shaking slightly, though he did his best to put on a brave face. "I would never hurt her, Mr. Stark. I love her." The words slipped out of his mouth before he even realized, and his eyes widened in horror at what he’d just admitted.
You, however, couldn’t help but smile, your heart swelling at Peter’s confession. Even though you both knew how much he cared about you, hearing him say it, especially in front of your dad, made it feel more real.
Tony’s expression softened for just a second before he caught himself, his eyes darting between you and Peter. "Love? Well, isn’t that sweet." His voice dripped with sarcasm, though there was a small hint of approval hidden deep beneath it. "But love doesn’t mean you get a free pass to make out with my daughter whenever you feel like it."
"Okay, okay, we get it," you said, trying to diffuse the situation as you gently tugged on Peter’s arm, pulling him a bit closer to you. "We were just kissing, Dad. It’s not the end of the world."
"Not the end of your world," Tony grumbled, giving Peter another pointed look. "But it might be the end of his if he’s not careful."
Peter opened his mouth to respond, but you quickly stepped in, raising your hands in defeat. "Alright, can we all just relax? Dad, Peter’s not going anywhere. And Peter, I’ll make sure my dad doesn’t blast you. Deal?"
Peter nodded quickly, still looking like he was waiting for a rocket to be launched at him.
Tony sighed, finally relenting. "Fine, fine. Just keep it PG, or next time, I really will bring the full suit."
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t help but smile. As overbearing as your dad could be, you knew he was only looking out for you in his own unique, Iron Man way.
Peter, on the other hand, let out a sigh of relief, his hand finding yours again as Tony left the room, grumbling something about “teenagers.”
Once the door closed, Peter looked at you, eyes still wide. "That was terrifying."
You laughed, squeezing his hand. "Welcome to dating the daughter of Iron Man."
