Chapter 14: My Sunshine

I may have been overstepping my boundaries lately. I've been cutting it close too, watching her through my cameras I installed in her house while Harmony slept only a few feet away from me.

Remember when I said I wouldn't do this anymore and I would try to refrain from going back to my old ways?

Yea well, that's out the fucking window.

I told her that the guy who was at her door last night wasn't dead and I wasn't lying.

In fact, Leo's well and sleeping peacefully with his girlfriend.

Her best friend, Ivory.

Ivory and Leo have been together for a few years now. He's the one who put me on to this stalker turned lover shit because he did it to her when she was eighteen. That's why she isn't seen talking with any other man at work and when she's with Raya she pretends to be a shy little virgin.

I mean, she is shy but she's not as innocent as she pretends to be.

Ivory knows about my little obsession with Raya because I asked her about Raya the day I seen her at Ivory's job. She's one of the reason why I know so much about her and how I was able to get the cameras in her house.

Ivory tells me that she has nothing to do with this if shit goes left but in all honesty, I plan on telling Raya everything once I know she won't go running for the hills. She might be pissed but that's not my problem.

I asked Leo to stage a robbery at Raya's place when I left her job. I was being petty and I wanted to show her that she needed me.

So that's exactly what I did. I told him the time I knew she was getting off so he'd know exactly when to show up. I watched her cameras and laughed when I saw how scared she was. She was frozen in her spot and didn't know what to do. She did the whitest shit ever and peeped through the peephole for a total of two minutes and just stood there. What got me was her crawling on all fours towards the couch to try and hide.

Poor baby, I really did traumatize her.

I chuckled under my breath while I clicked through the different camera angles on my phone. My finger rubbed my bottom lip as I watched a sleeping Raya toss and turn in her sleep.

She must be having a nightmare.

" daddy?" Harmony's soft voice brings me back and I twirled around in my chair to look at my daughter.

I smiled at her SpongeBob overalls and opened my arms for her. "Come here princess."

She walks with sleepy eyes towards me and crawls into my lap. She yawned and stretched her arms over her head, almost punching me in the chin with her tiny fist. "Whatcha doing?" She asked.

I glanced at my phone that was still showing images of Raya sleeping in her underwear so I flipped my phone over and angled her away so she couldn't see what her dear dad was doing.

"Nothing princess I was about to go lay down." I tell her, holding her closer to me.

Erica decided to leave her here at my house for an extra day saying she needed some 'me' time. Whatever the fuck that meant. So she was stuck with me until her mom came and got her.

Hopefully, she picks her up in the morning because Harmony has been asking about her all day and I don't know how to explain to my five year old that her momma doesn't care about her and blames me for getting her pregnant.

"Can you sing me a song?" She whispered into my neck.

"Of course, what song?"

"Sunshine." She smiled.

"Okay." I got up from my chair with her in my arms and carried her to her room.

I put her down in her bed and sat off the edge. She cuddled up with a teddy bear Erica got her- the only gift she received from her- and looked at me with her wide eyes.

I rested my hand on her stomach and rubbed it. She goes to sleep faster when you rub her stomach, she says it helps her sleep and her stomach wouldn't feel so heavy.

By the end of the song she was sound asleep. I sighed as I stared at my daughter, happy that I have Atleast one person in my life who loves me. Wholeheartedly.

No matter what I go through I know I'll have Harmony by my side, giving me her cute little bear hugs and telling me she loves me forever and ever.

After sitting in her room and watching her for a second, I got up and left her room. I made sure her night light was kept on and I cracked her door open.

I went for my phone in the kitchen and dialed up Leo's number. He answered on the third ring.

"Yello?"

"I need you to do me a favor."
