"Thanks Dave.. I appreciate you and Prentiss for helping." Aaron said once Rossi dropped him off.

"Anytime. Rest! I mean it." Rossi said before driving off.

Aaron's had a panic attack. Emily offered to drive him home, but Rossi knew better than that.

"What's up with Emily? Is she someone Aaron knew before?" Haley said that night at the club.

"No, not that I know of." Rossi answered.

"Hm alright. Keep an eye out for me.." Haley squeezed Dave's hand, "I've never seen Aaron so chipper around a new person. He's not even like this with JJ."

Rossi remembered Haley once said to him. The speculation began the day Prentiss joined. Haley wasn't a profiler, but when she sees something off, she will know. Her husband was acting awfully cheerful when he's around her, that night at the club opened her eyes..

It only took 15 minutes for Rossi to come back to the office.

"Everything alright with Aaron?" Emily was the first one to notice Rossi.

It was like she waited for him to come back with updates - Rossi also noticed her use of Aaron instead of Hotch.

"Everything's fine. He's in good hands; Haley is taking great care of him." Rossi said. "Hey have you eaten yet?"

"N- no.." She replied, looking surprised at the sudden invite.

"Care to join me for sushi?"

"Let's go." She smiled.

She felt like an outsider before but not anymore. She feels at home when she's around the team..

"Tell me more about yourself." Rossi started the conversation.

They grabbed a seat at their local sushi train. To be honest, Rossi didn't know what he was doing. Did he invite her to speculate further? Seeking intel for Haley?

"I... don't know where to begin honestly." She chuckles.

"Where'd you grow up?"

"Well, I grew up all over the place. I lived in Paris, Egypt, China for a while.. my mum moved around a lot." The topic seemed to be a bit sensitive.

"Did you enjoy any part it?"

"Absolutely not. Though, there was a year.. I was 18 and we settled down in North Carolina. I made friends; real ones and I really felt at home. But then the day after Christmas, a boy broke my heart and for the first time, I begged my mother to move." Emily fiddled with her food.

"Was it Aaron?" He asked, which caught her off guard.

She made her usual weird noises before answering, "No." she chuckled. "What makes you think that?"

"Aaron's a bit too familiar with you. It just got all of us wondering." Rossi smiled.

"I guess it's because.. we are just alike. He doesn't let people in easily, neither do I.. but i've got a good feeling about this one." She smiled at him, "You know, on my first day, he accused me of being a mole." She mentioned, laughing as she thought back.

"I did know that, yes. He told me all about it.. and your mother." Rossi gave her an empathetic look. "Emily.. we are having a team gathering at my mansion. You should come, i'll text you the address.."

"Of course i'd love to come!"

Rossi felt more trusting of her. After the chat they just had, Rossi seems to like her more. It reminded him of a non-existent person.. someone who he wishes to have. A daughter...
