Chapter 3

The weekend went by with Jungkook trying to stop his friends from approaching Jimin and before he knew it, it was Monday Morning. He dreaded going to the campus that particular Monday but he had no choice, he ate his breakfast and left for school.

During lunch break the crew walked towards Jimin and Taehyung's table with their food trays.
"Hi uhm can we sit with you guys we wanna chat for a sec" Soekjin said to the two friends.
Before Jimin could say anything Tae beats him to it. "Of course you guys can sit". Tae said with a glint of excitement. "My name is Taehyung and this adorable quiet person next to me is my best friend Jimin". If looks could kill Taehyung will be dead meat.
"Nice to meet you guys I'm Hoseok and these are my friends.. Soekjin, Yoongi, Namjoon and this handsome quiet person on my right is Jungkook who I believe Jimin has met". Hobi got a kick from Jungkook under the table.

They continued having conversations while eating. Jimin and Jungkook were too quiet for the group's liking. "So this weekend we are throwing a birthday party for Hobi and we'll like to extend an invitation to you both, Hobi will appreciate it if you can make it ".
"Thank you for the invitation but..."
"Of course we will be there right Minnie".. Taehyung said glaring at Jimin. They continued chatting until the bell rang indicating that the break is over.

Jimin and Taehyung were on their way home.
"I can't believe you Tae how can you agree to go to a party of people you have just met".
"Well they seem nice and I want to get to know them Minnie and you should be thanking me".
"WHAT thank you for what exactly"
"Well you get to spend time with your boo". Said Tae with a huge grin while circling his arm oh Jimin's shoulders.
"My who now.." Jimin removed Taehyung's arm around his neck and folded his arms over his chest. "What are you talking about Tae?"
"Jungkook of course don't think I didn't see you guys stilling glances at each other during lunch". Taehyung was wiggling his eyebrows at Jimin".
Jimin was done with Taehyung, with a sigh he walked towards his house muttering an "unbelievable". When he got home he found his grandmother knitting on their potch, he greeted her kissing her cheek and asked about his mother. "Oh Solidad went to buy a few things for dinner, go freshen up dear your food is in  the microwave". He thanked her and skipped towards his room.

Jimin's pov;

I can't believe Tae can do this to me he knows very well that I hate parties, especially of the rich kids.. but maybe it won't be that bad. Besides, Jungkook is kind of handsome, but he looks like a bad boy though. After freshen up I went to eat and chill with my grandma. "So sweetie did you and Tae make some  new friends or what"? Asked grandma. "Well not yet but....

It was already the weekend,the day of the party to be specific and the two best friends were in Jimin's room getting ready.

"I can't believe you made me do this Tae you know I hate being around drunk people..worse drunk college students". Said Jimin with huff.

"Come on Minnie you are 19 years old. There's more to life than school and books, you need to have some little fun and this party is a perfect way of doing so".

"Well if I find it uncomfortable then we are leaving end of story".

"Yes sir". Said Tae with a little salute. Jimin was laughing after his dramatic friend.

Jimin and Taehyung arrived at Soekjin's house where the party was being held and they were greeted by Namjoon at the door. "Oh you guys came..welcome and make yourself comfortable and have a drink". Said Namjoon while guiding them to an outdoor pool area where the party was happening. JIMIN TAEHYUNG! shouted an already drunk Soekjin.. welcome and have a drink snacks are on a table over there help yourselves. Soon he dragged them to meet the guys and greetings were exchanged and obviously Jimin and Jungkook kept stealing glances at each other.

The party went on and everyone was now drunk or at least tipsy including Jimin thanks to Tae who encouraged him to live a little. Jimin found himself in a secluded area where he wanted some peace and quiet and his peace was disturbed by someone sitting next to him.

"Hi are you ok, I saw you exiting and I thought I should check on you.

"Jungkook is it.. well I'm fine I just needed some quiet time you know I'm not use to this kind of things.  Being around a bunch of drunk people".

"Oh that's ok but if you feel uncomfortable I can take you home".

"It's ok I can't live Tae behind, he seemed to be having a lot of fun. He's a social butterfly unlike me". Said Jimin with a giggle.

"You are beautiful" whispered Jungkook.
"Huh"
"I said you are very pretty"..
"Well thank you, you not bad yourself". Jimin felt the heat on his cheeks and hoped Jungkook will think it's the alcohol.

They continued chatting about this and that and Jimin found Jungkook very funny, he really liked his goofy side and he couldn't stop laughing the entire time.

The party was ending and people started to leave. Jimin was walking around looking for Tae so that they can leave but he was nowhere to be found. Jimin was walking to the door mumbling many curses when he bumped into the boy who surprisingly has succeeded in making him a blushing mess for  hours. "Oh Jimin are you leaving"?

"Yeah I can't seem to find Tae and he's not picking up when I call him so I'm leaving".

"Maybe he's pass out somewhere in the house, can I drop you off it's very dark outside and I don't think the public transport is available again this time".

"Eissh what about Tae.. that boy likes worrying me".

"Don't worry I'm sure he's fine wherever he is, I'll tell Jin  Hyung to look after him for the night"... shall we..

Jimin nodded his head with a sight making a mental note to kill Tae tomorrow for ditching him. The drive to Jimin's house was very quiet except when Jimin was giving Jungkook directions to his home.

Soon they arrived at Jimin's house, he thanked Jungkook for bringing him home . He was about to exit the car when he felt a tug on him arm and he sat back. Jungkook cleared his throat.. "uhm can I have your phone number..uhm fo....for uhm checking if you got in safely you know..." Jimin chuckled .."Of course" said jimin while taking Jk's phone and putting his number and gave it back. "Thank you" said Jimin while waving.. jungkook started the car and drove off with a huge smile on his face.

Well Kookie and Minnie are starting to get comfortable around each other. I wonder where did our Tae bear disappear to 🤔.. stay tuned to find out in the next chapter.
