Jimin didn't have dinner that night, he lied about being sick to his mother and she reluctantly let him sleep it off. Of course Jimin wasn't able to sleep at all, he kept tossing and turning and the tears kept pouring from his eyes he doesn't even know when he fell asleep.
Morning came and Jimin didn't want to face Jungkook yet so by creating more lies to his mom, he was able to skip school. The way he looked, red puffy face and swollen eyes also slightly high temperature because of crying sold his lies to his mother. Of course Taehyung called him before going to campus, he wanted to also skip school and stay with his friend and comfort him but Jimin told him to not worry. " Baby bear you can go and come check up on me after your classes, I am ok just sad you know." That how he convinced Tae to attend his classes.
Jungkook on the other hand was not having it easy, he didn't sleep a wink yesterday worrying about Jimin and also his father was not letting him breath in peace..
FLASH BACK WHEN JUNGKOOK GOT HOME YESTERDAY...
The minute he walked through the front he was greeted by his angry father.
"Jungkook care to explain why I got a call from the Choi's complaining about how you humiliated their daughter "?
"Father please not now".
"Then when Jungkook oh maybe you can explain it to me when when Choi backs out of our deal Huh".
"I didn't humiliate her father, I was eating lunch with my friends and I told her we'll talk later that's it".
"Oh what about the part where you didn't acknowledge her as your fiance"?
"I didn't even want to marry Jess father, you are forcing her on me without considering how I feel".
Jungkook didn't have the energy to deal with his controlling father, he was already feeling so bad.
"I am your father and you will do as I say, trust me you don't want to face the consequences of defying me son. Jessica is a good girl who comes from a good family Jungkook she's good for you".
"Yes father".
" Good tomorrow you will go and apologize to Jessica and start acknowledging her as your future wife am I clear"?
"Yes father"
"Now go freshen up and come down for dinner".
Without saying a word Jungkook left when he got to room, he threw himself on his bed and started crying none stop he seriously wished he was born to a different family.
This is the life Jungkook was living. Behind all the fency clothes, flashy cars, expensive jewelery was a broken boy who lived his life according to his parents rules. You see Jungkook's life didn't belong to him, he danced to his parents tune. The only choice he made was his friends and his parents didn't have a problem because they also belong to the higher class.
Jungkook didn't see Jimin on their shared music class and he started to worry more. During lunch break the boys noticed Jimin's absence and asked Taehyung and he just brushed them off by saying he's not feeling well he'll be in tomorrow hopefully.
Jungkook couldn't stop worrying and blaming himself for whatever Jimin was going through right now and he took a decision to go and check on him after his classes because Jimin was not picking up his calls nor was he answering his messages so he wanted to personally go to Jimin's house, he won't turn him away would he...
After so many arguments and insults Taehyung ended up agreeing to get into Jungkook's car and they drove to Jimin's house. Upon arriving Tae knocked on the door which was answered by Jimin's mom "Oh baby bear come in, how are you"? (This is where Jimin got this nickname for Tae, he got it from his mom)
"I'm okay aunt Solidad. Where is Minnie"?
"He's in his room resting..oh who is this young man"?
"Oh this is Jungkook our friend from college". Jungkook greeted Jimin's mom with a bow.
After greeting Jimin's mom they went to Jimin's room and knocked on his door, they heard a little come in. Taehyung told Jungkook to stay behind because he knew that his Minnie won't be happy to see Jungkook in his house, so when Tae opened the door he told Jungkook to stay behind he will tell him to come in and Jungkook did just that without arguing.
"My baby how are you doing"? Asked Tae while hugging his friend.
"We are the same age you know that right".
Taehyung rolled his eyes "I am your baby too so please don't act like you don't baby me".
" it's because you literally act like a baby Tae". Said Jimin with a giggle. You see Tae was exactly what he needed because he had the ability to lift up his spirit and lessen any any pain he's feeling, he loved his best friend so much.
"Someone is here to see you and before you think of ways to kill me and a place to bury my body without suspicions please note that it wasn't my idea and he insisted on coming to see you. Since he's on my hate list I didn't want to waste my precious time arguing with him". Said Tae in one breath.
"Tae". Said Jimin in a whisper, well he knew exactly who Tae was referring to and knowing Jungkook was here to see him riled him up.
Taehyung noticed the instant change in Jimin's expressions.. "You know, you don't have to give him a minute of your time if you don't want to Minnie I can send him away. He's not worth your time anyway".
Upon hearing that Jungkook panicked and without thinking he budged into Jimin's room startling the two best friends who were in each other's embrace.
Lifting his head from Taehyung's chest, Jimin came face to face with a person he didn't want to see at the moment.
"Jimin hi ...I know I'm the last person you want to see right now understandably so but please let me explain myself, it's not what it seems like please".
"So you don't have a fiance"? Asked Jimin.
"Technically I do but not by choice please let me explain".
"Then there's nothing to explain here Jungkook. Leave my house".
"You heard him tough guy LEAVE". Said Tae glaring at Jungkook.
"Just 5 minutes Jimin please". Pleaded Jungkook with tears in his eyes and that seemed to move something in Jimin.
"5 minutes that's all". Said Jimin.
"Can you give us a minute Taehyung". Asked Jungkook.
"Well of course only if you can explain to Jimin's mom why are you two locked up alone in Jimin's room and I'm out in the lounge.
Well it made a lot of sense, Jimin's mother will have questions on why Tae left them alone since they are all friends and they both came to see Jimin since he's not feeling well.
"You can talk I'll be over there". Said Tae pointing at Jimin's study desk, he took out his phone and headsets busting music so he can give the two of them privacy.
Will Jimin believe Jungkook's explanation or will he send him packing, let's find out on the next chapter.
